Didn'te realize America had a midweek match, but Benedetti came back and scored a beauty. Very James-like:

Just want to mention that Monterrey has Medina playing more of a CB role (Layun is more of the RB.)

If this continues I do not think it would be wise to have him as our starting RB or even backup. It would be nice to see someone who plays RB every day at their club in my opinion.

Benedetti came on as a 35th minute sub and changed the game. Announcers thought Benedetti came on as Morelia got tired. I missed his goal at the end but glad he was rewarded. He wasn't perfect but was fun to watch.

Ibarguen also was up and down all game. Some good plays but some horrible lazy passes. He played better after Benedetti came on. The Mexican Lopez who started did not look good at all. I think the America coach likes using Benedetti as his second half sub though. Plus there were about 3 attacking players hurt.

He got injured again and will be out for 3 weeks.

This kid, man. I have a fear of him stagnating...

He has really grown in Mexico.
His coach Herrera has to be given some credit for believing in him and teaching him some good things.
