Mexicans wont sell him below 20 bucks....

Transfermkt always underestimate the value of players in south america.......for that reason our roster is cheaper than senegal one ...for example

Problem is he is in a real real rich team that has 0 motivation or reason to sell him. Like you said he is 27, also none EU so no big teams will go after him. Maybe a mid table team in Spain, France or Italy might go after him but none of those teams have more then 10 to buy him. Sevilla only wants to pay 12 for Bacca.

Look if he beast modes it in Mexico and it translates to the NT then who cares if he stays. He one of the few who actually developed and got better there. He was good at Nacional but nowhere near this level

Maybe in 2 years they will let him leave cheaply as a thank you but even then. America pays very well those mid table teams wont

That stinks. Hope you're 100% wrong on this one but I fear you're right. Somehow Daniel Torres gets to play in Spain but Mateus has dug his futbol grave in Mexico :(

lol at that Uribe Real Madrid rumor. He'd be lucky to even get Real Betis to be interested playing in that league.

Sadly, I don't know if we'll ever see him at a proper league. Probably a bigger chance of him going to MLS than europe. As tragic as that sounds.

Mexicans want too much money for the products they sell

If you buy a proven Argie league player from a big team you have a good chance that 5-10 million player will turn out good

Mexico is a hit or miss like Colombia but from Colombia he cost 1-3 million while Mexico will sell you the same quality for 2-3x more but less likely to do well abroad

Mexico right now is not a big seller to Europe. They pay rather high prices for players that are usually borderline top-4-league in Europe, hence transferring from FMF to La Liga is not a common occurence, and even less to France, Germany or Italy.

If Mateus had attracted European attention 2 years ago, he could probably go to Italy or Spain for about 4-5 million Euros, hoping he could develop into a top talent, but he didn't and he's now 27 and making big bucks, so he would not go to Europe for less than 12 million IMHO; not many teams can really afford that and a loan is not appealing. IOW, he's too old and not so much of a talent that a top team would pay 12+ Million Euros and the move might not make that much sense from the salary POV either.

What is his wage in Mexico pretty sure much higher then a player at Sevilla.

Napoli to some starters they only pay 1.5 million euro

Cost of living in Mexico is much cheaper too

Menez is being paid Us $4 million. I’d say that Mateus probably gets 2 to 2.5 million.

Barcelona and Madrid pay on average $8 million, Atletico $5 million, Valencia and Sevilla $3 million and it goes down sharply from there.

In Italy, Juve is at $6 million, Milan at $4 million, Napoli, Inter and Roma at around $3 million and then down from there.

Surprisingly (or maybe not) EPL is more even: ManU and ManC average about $6 million, followed rather closely by Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool; Tottenham is the first middle clas team at $4 million but there’s a bunch of teams paying between 2 and 4 million. Brighton pays a rather modest $1.75 million per player.

Well England has a nice TV deal so their clubs get lots of money especially based on where they fall in the standing

Italy/Spain have old TV deals and most the money gets given to the top teams. Assuming Portugal is similar

I remember Levantes most expensive buy was Cuero for 3 million from Argentina. Celis I believe they said was one of Benficas most expensive buys as well

The Real Madrid rumor is complete bullshit, but if he has a good World Cup + the rumor he will be on a lot more radars and have a decent chance at getting attention from the big European leagues, whether they want to sell him is another story but as of right now I hope he plays that Abel spot next to a destroyer, with his versatility he'd fit perfect with how James has been playing for Bayern, James can drop deeper on the ball and Uribe can push higher and be effective there.

Matheus Uribe and Ibarguen are out, but toluca is int he final with fernando uribe, borja and quiñones.

Uribe was brilliant yesterday, scored 4 goals in the series.

Surely the best player of the semifinals....in quarters matheus was elected the ebst one...
