Maybe machado.... This nacional have been the worst of the decade.....and is clearly that they arent the outstanding players........l
No , both Palacios and Machado were speculated. And no, no one is saying they are outstanding players.
I can understand people not wanting certain players or thinking that they are horrible (I am guilty of that for sure). It is your right to believe such things and say they do not belong. I personally went into this thing saying if the coaching staff believes that the players they choose are right for the tactics they impose then I don't care who get's called. As long as they have a plan and we get the results in the end.
Shoot I would’ve risked calling the new kid at Atlético who just had his debut. Isnt he a rb as well? How much worse can he be than Palacios?
I'm not a fan of either Machado or Palacios. But Homie some choices are glaringly awful and poor. I can live with many choices made in said positions (ex: Tesillo, Luis Perea, etc) but Palacios has never contributed in any + way to this seleccion. I mean to the point of being much more of a liability than a plus. His main attribute is his speed and the fact that he's got a couple extra lungs but he has awful awful positioning and makes horrible choices which for a defender is a big no-no. He couldn't hack it in a 2nd tier league for more than 6 months. There's a clear reason for that. He's not NT material.
Don't know... we shouldn't go crzd-mode yet. It's his first call Up. A bit disappointing for sure, but I think that this one was pretty much Reyes. The roster has It to play the usual, 1-4-4-2, 1-4-3-3, 1-4-3-2-1, 1-4-2-3-1 and 1-4-2-2-2. I don't like Murillo, Palacios, Machado and Cuéllar (mostly due to the fact that they want him to play the b2b role and he sucks at It, I find him a very good DM) but I won't get too annoying yet.
Queiroz has said that he has liked what he has seen from both Machado and Palacios and the game in Bogota was obviously icing on the cake. If he thinks they can provide what he wants and can put in some crosses then I can understand his reasoning. Plus as I said Reyes could also be giving him good feedback on how they practice and their last callup in general.
And the great thing is if Palacios is horrible then he will take note of it and may look at other options. But if he does not poop in his pants I don't really see someone else being given a chance in such short notice.
I was thinking about this but he only played a half. Maybe if he gets more playing time if Atletico makes a run in the Champions he can be an option in the future maybe even in June
Back to stadium/ friendly news: According to Gol Caracol the Peru match on June 2nd will be in El Pascual. That probably means either Medellín or Pereira for the Bolivia match.
Get a load of this: Copa América 2020 se disputaría en Argentina y Colombia https://elcomercio.pe/deporte-total...utaria-argentina-colombia-noticia-nndc-616351
Why either can easily host one and that’s a far ass flight Unless this is practice for a Colombia/Argentina World Cup bid then I don’t see the point In this
I thought you would be happy. The original talk was Argentina hosting on their own. They just had it in 2011. From what I am hearing they want to regionalize it and make it different than the one in Brasil. In the Group stage there could be a North Group: Colombia Ecuador Venezuela Peru Brasil Invited team (USA?) South Group: Argentina Uruguay Chile Paraguay Bolivia Invited team (Mexico?) Best 4 teams advance to the Quarters from each Group. (All just speculation for now.)
Yes. That is another rumor. Some are saying the USA's tournament may have African and Asian teams. But this may be tempting for them and make them scrap that idea. Especially if US TV Networks get involved. Or they can decline and some other team will be invited.
True. No one is saying that it is all about money. Just something they may consider on both sides because US TV Networks would pay more for the Rights if the USA is part of it. South American Fed head honchos allegedly declined the offer to play in the USA and reportedly want it to be more traditional , hence playing in South America. (At least that is what is being reported.) That does not mean they won't invite them.
Colombia confirm friendly against Brazil for Friday 6 September at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami (20:30pm kick off local time).— Carl Worswick (@cworswick) March 13, 2019
One of the craziest Rumors being reported by Brazilian media is that Australia wanted to host. Could you imagine waking up at 4 in the morning to watch a Copa America? Glad they turned that one down.
