I am kinda disapointed that we're not playing any friendlies. Would have been good considering our situation. But then again, maybe our players just need to take advantage and rest.

I dont know but seeing some countries scramble to make something happen last minute doesnt make sense. With the Colombian championship in it's playoff stages, Copa Sud semifinals, players solidifying a starting spot/minutes for club abroad, no senior team DT selected and with the interim DT needing to focus on his 2019 YWC qualifiers in January, it just makes sense to wait at this point. With the exception of Brazil and Uruguay, I don't see any of the Conmebol teams playing 2 difficult matches in November.

    1st leg:
Arg vs Mexico (meh - mainly local players and still 'no Messi and friends' and no DT - Mexico also experimenting and with no DT)
Ecuador vs Peru (good match/good test and prep for CA2019)
    Chile vs Costa Rica (meh)
Japan vs Venezuela (good match/good test and prep for CA2019)
Brazil vs Uruguay (good match/good test and prep for CA2019)

    2nd leg
Arg vs Mexico (yes, if you weren't excited the 1st time....here we try again with likely same effect )
    Iran vs Venezuela (meh)
Brazil vs Cameroon (good match/good test and prep for CA2019)
    Ecuador vs Panama (meh)
    South Africa vs Paraguay (meh)
France vs Uruguay (good match/good test and prep for CA2019)
    Peru vs Costa Rica (meh)
    Chile vs Honduras (meh)

Personally it is disappointing because we have to wait until March to see the team play again. And it would have been interesting to see how Cucho could have done in a quick encore. He may have even started after what he did in his debut.
However, the Federation needs to figure out who should be hired as the manager and Reyes needs to just focus on the Sub 20.

November friendlies would have been good for players like Lerma, Mina, Deiver/Borja, Borja, izquierdo (seems like he is playing decent in England), Cardona (since he’s out of CL finals) and Cucho (although I haven’t heard much from him at club level since last month).

    Oh well....

With the way they looked against Ecuador and Costa Rica we would kick their arses.

Aren’t they getting kicked out of FIFA?

Also why not try to play a euro or African team. He’ll play an Asian team and win extra money

We would but we're in a volatile situation with the lack of an official coach to take over in this world cup cycle.

I hope that by the time this friendly comes around, we have a plan and ready for the Copa America.

    Huh?

Ospina had a great game despite elimination..
Yerry's team tied and they're still in the hunt for Euro spots...

Barrios, yes, not a good thing that he saw the red...

The goal by Liverpool was a tough one. I don’t think any keeper would have stopped that shot from point blank range. Ospina is playing regularly which is what we all wanted for him.

Mina is quickly learning. Seems like his main challenge has been positioning and it’s improving. He’s going to be a force to reckoned with soon!

Barrios......bad day at the office on Sunday. Hopefully he bounces back and doesn’t change his style of play. That card he got was bogus but it comes with the territory when playing that DMF role.

Nada de noticias sobre nuevo DT?!?!

Yo personalmente, ruego para que sea Marcelo Bielsa o Felipe Scolari.... Y si no que siga Arturo Reyes... Sobretodo si le va bien con la Sub 20

All signs indicate it will be Queiroz.
Just waiting for Iran's exit in the Asian Cup to announce more than likely.

If that’s the case his staff and him need to get their shit together....

Maybe his staff should log in to our message board for a crash course on who all the players are and which players he should build the team around =)

Apparently one of the conditions for him to get the job is that he estabilishes himself here in Colombia, so that he can watch league games directly and also to receive feedback from his collaborators that will probably be half colombian and half from his frequent assistants. He did that in Iran and it seems that he has the disposition to comply with that.

I kinda said my comment in jest about logging on to BigSoccer.com although it wouldn’t be that bad of an idea since we all have pretty good insight on what the areas of improvement are.

Him and his team are going to have to work fast and put in long hours in any case if they are going to scout properly.

We just won’t truly know until we see that next call up and starting lineup to see how creative/thoughtful or lazy the new staff is (goes for anyone).
