Yup 3 goals in 3 games for Duvan. And 4 straight games without conceding any goals. I cant complain.

As was already said, not scoring early really made this a frustrating game. Had opportunities all game long. Just couldnt finish.

But at least the goal did come. Great pass by James and great header by Duvan.

Should have had the pk In the first half but hard to score with 10 in the box

James crosses are awful he coming back from injury maybe he was rushed.

Cardona needs to play the next game in for James to give him time to recover.

James just doesn’t seem fit and playing all games prob not helping him.

    Cuadrado has been trash.

Why did he sub out Medina he was doing really well. Would have preferred Cardona or Arias for Cuadrado.

So looking at the replay carefully it does seem like the ball didn't touch his arm; I can't tell as the frames aren't that high but I think that we were wrong.

Queiroz was going all out attack, he did this basically all game long. Not sure who/if someone at some point called him a defensive coach but he is really proving to be quite flexible. Anyway, Medina was struggling with the speedy arabs, however Arias ended up struggling too. I was happy to see both Falcao and Duvan on at the same time, Falcao didn't struggle as much because they are quick but they are also lightweight unlike the big physical CB's he usually has to deal with.

Cuadrado was really trash, other then that everyone played alright, no other real stinkers. We created enough chances to win the game and Duvan scored a nice one, James header in the first half was a great chance but unfortunately might have been the worst attacker to be on the end of it with the ball in the air.

Yeah no more Cuadrado. He needs to be a supersub for the time being. He seemingly does more for the team with his stamina and pace.

We won but should have put Lerma for Barrios who had a knock. No reason to risk him plus Lerma is better offensively

Cardona for Cuadrado and this team would have scored more

So no Colombian got a yellow so next game doesn’t matter if we get cards right?

Like us to give Lucumi a shot next game for Mina.

    ———————-Montero——————-
    Medina——Davison—-Lucumi—-Borja—-
    —————-Cuellar——-Lerma—————
    Cardona—————————-——Diaz
    —————Falcao——-Duvan———

Rest James and Mina who just came off long injuries. Want a James who can cross the ball in knockout rounds.

We are in 2nd round. Might as well try a new formation or to play without James

Also down for a 4-2-3-1 with Falcao playing behind Duvan. Last game they were always in the same spots but Falcao brings defenders with him

    Cardona———Falcao———Diaz
    —————Duvan————-

You mean the James who put a gorgeous three toe cross in for the goal that prob three or four people in the world can do?

    Let him play into shape.

Thank goodness Duvan showed up for that goal. With him and Mina we really have a strong physical aerial game (on top of Falcao's body control and instincts in the air).

I thought Uribe was super sloppy with the ball in the second half and put Barrios under a lot of pressure. Maybe exhaustion just got to him, but got me frustrated a few times.

Just worried about Mina and James fitness

If you looked at James’ face the last 2 games he looks sickly and his crosses have been awful.

Rest and rotate next game, Mina, James, Barrios for sure I'd rest. I'd let Cuadrado play again because he needs to learn the position and CQ should tell him as much and let him play through it because we need that profile but he needs to be better. Playing without James is def something we need to keep working on because we've been really bad without him in the past, but this formation should ease that some.

Cuadrado has 0 speed or stamina now..... not sure if it's he hasn't recovered from his injury, not match fit or time just hit him instantly like it did Zuniga and Ivan Cordoba.

It has nothing to do with his speed its his decision making. It was the same thing before his injury, disrupts the flow and makes bad decisions and is stagnant too often. He tries to dribble constantly from a stationary position which just makes it way harder and he choses to dribble at really dumb times, its not even difficult stuff to fix but he does it constantly.

Ideal time to debut Cardona in the tournament. Rest James. Whose crosses have been fine.

I tend to find that the decision making becomes an issue when opponents get in his head and he starts looking for fouls and arguing. It's just a shame that teams have learned to exploit his temperament and that as he had become a veteran he hasn't overcome this...

Cardona, Diaz, Lerma and Cuellar should all play the 3rd game, Cuadrado at least a half. On defense, other than either Arias or Medina, we probably won't see many changes. Up front, who knows.

Crisitan Zapata and Cuadrado are the two players who I hope play their final call ups with Colombia this cup their time is up. Maybe Vargas too as if Montero is the new #2 maybe bring another young GK for the future.

I actually didn't like Tesillo before this cup but not a bad Lb and very good offensively. Def the best defensively on the guys we used past few years. Do you guys rate him over Fabra or Mojica?

Only you would complain about a guy who created 7 chances dropped a pin point cross to win the game and also crossed about 4 or 5 that game that he crossed into the perfect place from a set piece to create chances. What game are you watching?
