So Portugal is a bit hard to read; I make this claim because there's a lack of consistency with the team overall and no one expected them to win the Euros despite the amount of talent that they have. They're capable of winning as much as losing and playing them would give us interesting experience as I do not recall if we ever actually faced them in history.

I am pretty confident in our abilities but we should not underestimate them.

we will likely see Portugal's A-team in the first half b/c they are going to be using the friendly as a tune-up before the Confederations Cup

TBD, but i imagine somewhere near Russia since Portugal's first Confed Cup game is June 18 in Kazan (SW Russia)

A mixed team can play against Portugal, Colombia can play possession against Portugal.

Unlikely. This game is days before the confederations cup begins. I see Portugal playing their A lineup in first half and then they will make all their changes in 2nd half

I want to see Falcao and Jackson on the roster for this game just for the plain and simple fact their presence will put fear into the hearts of all Portuguese everywhere.

Mexico may call up Hurtado since they have so many tournaments this summer. Copa Oro may be the time for Osorio to call him up.

Some sources say Pekerman didn't want this game which is annoying others say we couldn't find a stadium. Obviously they went with teams who are more confidence boosters then Colombia would be.

But many of you got your wish. No Portugal means we will get a weaker team we can test new players out with.WOuld prefer to have a game against Mexico in a non FIFA date with Mexi, Argie and BRazilian league dudes like we use to do with other coaches. Finding a 2nd Gk, A LB, RB, and a Box to box MF is key. Tho trying out a back 3 would be nice since we don't have wingback but have a ton of Cbs now

I really hope we get a tall, fast and strong African or euro teams that is deadly in the air because how pathetic our team is at defending against Headers or corners is unacceptable

I can't believe I am saying this but does anyone else want to see what Fabra can do in this match?
Maybe he has improved since his horrible play at the Centenario last summer?

And his offense can provide better shots on goal and crosses from the left wing,

Hmmm the true is that he lost his starting spot in boca after disappointed his coach against river .

So my expectations aren't so high

Can he be any worse than Armero though?
If so then I guess it is Diaz or bust for the rest of the cycle (Who provides nothing offensively but is at least disciplined.).

OR Armero bounces back and this was just a case of the nerves yesterday. But he really has to improve.

Id prefer to give up on Armero, Diaz and Fabra and use a fast left-footed CB on that position.

I don't know if a CB is the answer but all options are on the table.
Venezuela, Brazil, Paraguay and Peru are all looking at last night's game film and seeing that we are weak on the wings. They will try to take advantage of it.

Heck, Cameroon will try to take advantage.
