I'm glad that I'll be able to see El Cucho live and hopefully our performance will be much better than the Sudamericano. Too bad I won't be able to be in more games.

    Why is that?

There are some decent additions like Amaya, Sanchez, Caicedo, but overall, I don't think this team is that much different, same goal draught and hoping for Cucho to be our star in the WC. Also, I don't know what plans he has for Pedroza, I think he is a good player, but in Santa Fe has been used as a Regista and also as an offensive midfielder.

The team Will play two friendlies against Panamá in april 5th and 7th.

I like those three players and assume that Cucho and Sinisterra will be make this team better.
I am trying to be optimistic.

Arroyo being added is a good step, he has been very good for Colombia but has fallen off the map completely while he's been in Belgium. Really want this guy to get back on track, he has everything to be a very good fullback.

The team wasn’t bad but like all Colombian teams just can’t finish their chances. Hopefully a Cucho is the killer this team needs but it’s an issue we have at every leve

The team couldn't score, but the bigger problem to me was the lack of a brain to run everything. At this level, we always suffer without a midfield general.

In fact, we were atrocious in the last edition because Benedetti got injured a few weeks beforehand, and Piscis tried to hinge everything on the very same Cucho.

Beware guys, Cucho is not the kind of kid who can carry a squad. Nor is Sinisterra, for that matter.

Moreover, there's just not that much time to get everybody integrated. No Toulon Tournament or anything this time around..

The thing is that there isn't a playmaker in this generation that I can see driving this team forward. The only one Who has some of that flair is Juan Lobo but that kid hasn't played a lot of professional football. Besides, It seems like Reyes doesn't like the #10. So we are screwed either way.

Yeah. That's the Spirit. I Guess I'm just a bit jaded with the whole FCF, they are awful administrators, no development of our football whatsoever in any division, they are basically letting shit happen and want results with very little investment, I have a feeling that we may be heading to some dark times with how they are running things.

It will be interesting to see how things change going forward. You would think Queiroz would want to demand excellence from the youth teams coming from (a successful) youth team management background himself.
He may just focus on the senior team the first year or so and stay in his lane.
So maybe not now but in a few years he may be stepping on some toes. We have already seen him observe both the Sub 20 and Sub17.

Only thing is this is not unique to Colombia. All Conmebol confederations are failing in all levels. Even the 2 traditional giants are struggling to get organized and lack of results are showing. For every step forward, we all take 2 steps back. We are gifting generations of futbol to our Euro counterparts the way things are being run in South America.

Not that I think that with Cucho wwe will win for sure, but he is very significant to Colombia and I believe that we'll play much better with him. Our Sudamericano was awful but they are not as bad as they showed in Chile. Plus we have an average group and an opening win on the host with me in the stadium [emoji41] can lift us. In Cucho we trust.

If we beat Poland and knock them out of another group stage at a World Cup they will declare war on us

Hopefully with the reinforcements we are bringing in this team will be able to get some cohesion and do some damage. I don't think there are a ton of teams we couldn't at least give a game to and with a little momentum who knows what can happen, outside of Portugal who look completely stacked I'd hope we can put ourselves right in the mix for the tournament.

The sub 20 is training in Antioquia and is scheduled to play a couple of friendlies against Panama this weekend. Obviously with just the microciclo guys.

Hopefully the new additions like Amaya, Sanchez, Anderson make an instant impact.

Only god knows why Amaya wasn't part of the squad in the Sudamericano. Very talented.

Maybe they just wanted him to acclimate himself in the Colombian league before calling him up with the sub 20. He is very young. Would be one of the youngest players (for Colombia) to play in a Sub 20 World Cup that I can remember.
