After yet another awful, atmosphere-less College Cup, that is a byproduct of indifference and malaise towards college soccer by the NCAA and the hosts of the Final Four, it is time for college soccer coaches and fans to be more proactive to better promote the sport and help it grow.

Complaining in press conferences won't get it done, no matter how passionate or correct the likes of Sasho Cirovski, Jeremy Gunn and Bobby Muuss are. College soccer needs an organization that advocates, promotes and markets the game at this level to make it more relevant and put it on the path to generating revenue and getting and keeping more of the youth game's top players.

And it needs to look to college hockey as an example. With help from the NHL and USA Hockey, College Hockey, Inc. was formed to promote the game and it has helped it grow, gotten more games on TV, made the Frozen Four a much bigger, and profitable, deal, and generally promoted college hockey as a viable path to the NHL.

It's time for the USSF, the US Soccer foundation and MLS to get together with college coaches - and please, not the NSCAA, which is a great organization but this isn't something they've shown they can do - and form an organization that grows and promotes the game on this level.

Begging your pardon, but this is something that the NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America) has shown that they can NOT do.

They are the wrong organization for this revolucion.
