Yeah, I give it 3 months before Mort's calling for his head. Hopefully Spalletti has a job, otherwise, it might be sooner.
Some good stuff around the 9:15 mark and beyond. lol, It's a good thing we're selling Dzeko, cuz there's no way in hell he'd be able to do this shit.
This appointment is not filling me with confidence, just another unproven coach add that to the fact that he seems like a tool.
I think Fonseca is a much brighter prospect than many of the other names that have been bandied about. He has experience in the Champions League. He has experience winning a league. He has experience guiding his team through a really ridiculous situation (war in Ukraine/playing home games miles from your actual home). He is lauded as a tactician with a clear way of playing. If he was Italian, he'd be seen as a no-brainer. His two cons are that the Ukranian league is weaker and that he doesn't speak Italian. But if he gets working on the language barrier quickly ala Rudi Garcia, I think he will integrate well.
I will support any coach coming in. But thats not the issue, the issue is its harder to play attacking attractive football then playing defensive football.I believe being boring defensive team will give Roma better results then trying to play attractive attacking football. Simply because we dont have squad edge of Juventus, City , Bayern, PSG, Barca vs our opponents in Serie A. Thats why 2009 - 2010 we came our closest to win the title under Ranieri(boring defensive coach). We had this pholosphy for long, and it costed us many times 7 - 1 scorelines. I dont like De Zerbi either, from reading on him.."inspired by Guardiola"...I just dont. And I didnt like EDF either who was attacking coach but didnt call for his head..I wont call for Fonseca head either. I believe such coaches are more suited to squads that are very very good, but with squads not that much its bound for disaster... Conclusion, welcome Fonseca and am hoping for the best. Our target shall be top four if you wanna put Inter, Napoi & Juve ahead..we should get that 4th spot.
You watch that and it gives you hope that he might just be able to do the near impossible, win with style at Roma. I am sure he won't get the players to do it but at least he has the right thought processes.
Roma, Fonseca have a complete agreement: Shakhtar don't want him to leave for free https://t.co/otVCJd04jt— RomaPress (@ASRomaPress) June 6, 2019
3m isn't so bad. If we are going to buy 1-2 Shakhtar players, you can just increase the transfer fee a bit.

Fonseca willing to pay buyout clause on his own to expedite Roma move https://t.co/dIqwcpxahU— RomaPress (@ASRomaPress) June 6, 2019 It will be awkward when Jimmy fires him in 6 months.
Honestly, it's embarrassing. Pallotta should pay the 3 mil and move on. Hopefully they are just working it into some transfers. I really like the Ismaily rumor. If we can unload Kolarov on Inter for a nice fee and pick up Ismaily that would be a nice start. Rotate Ismaily and Luca...
💸 Accordo raggiunto per Fonseca, la Roma pagherà 2 milioni allo Shakhtar#ASRomahttps://t.co/sq6zatw5Ot— VoceGiallorossa.it (@VoceGiallorossa) June 7, 2019 We have a coach.
Gotta admit, I was cool with this decision from the beginning, but once he looked like the front-runner and I did some deeper research, I've now become pretty pumped by this appointment. I know it's not wise to get too excited with Jimmy and Baldini's guillotine always ready for action - but I really dig this move. I dunno how we'll do in the standings, but I'm almost certain we'll see some sexy football again.
