New York Cosmos vs. Valencia, New Mosaic Stadium, Regina, Saskatchewan.
I dunno wtf they are thinking with this excessive preseason honestly. They also have the UEFA Super Cup...

Mourinho has a pre-built excuse in case United flop next year!
I have a friend who made over 15K selling 4 tickets last summer at Levi's. Money making opportunity for sure.
Yeah I see these kinds of stories, but I've been to a bunch, all for under $100. Fun story - the first time Real Madrid came over to play at the Home Depot Center, I was outpriced. Much to my surprise I got an envelope in the mail for the game addressed to Will Smith. Of course I used them, and was able to get in only to find said Will Smith sitting in my seats (not the actor unfortunately). Moved to the grass berm where they didn't check tickets and enjoyed an extremely fun free experience
From April 1 through August 8, that's 24 games (including 16 that have been played already) in 130 days, which is 1.29 per week. That includes the "offseason." Add in 2 national team games (obviously this varies from player to player) and it makes a game every 5 days.
This is a duplicate thread. https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/20...he-cash-machine-keeps-churning.2037646/unread
I hate MLS teams involved in these friendlies. Don't cry about match congestion and then schedule these cash grabs. I used to want these but I am more excited by a random MLS match than a half assed practice game with 20 substitutions. When I see an EPL team schedule a MLS team for a friendly in March, then maybe I'll maybe give these matches more respect but that probably won't happen anytime soon.
EPL clubs wouldn't travel here midweek between two EPL games. The only possibility would be when the EPL doesn't play due to the FA Cup Fourth or Fifth Round when EPL clubs who have been eliminated from the FA Cup have off, but the clubs wouldn't know they had off until the previous round played three weeks earlier, so those games couldn't be planned way in advance.
Most MLS teams play 1 or 0 of these games. It's not that big of a deal. The list from above for just the MLS teams: Saturday, July 8, 2017 Seattle Sounders vs. Eintracht Frankfurt, 1pm, CenturyLink Field, Seattle Friday, July 14, 2017 San Jose Earthquakes vs. Eintracht Frankfurt, 7:15pm, Avaya Stadium, San Jose Saturday, July 15, 2017 Philadelphia Union vs. Swansea City, 7pm, Talen Energy Stadium, Philadelphia LA Galaxy vs. Manchester United, 10pm, Stubhub Center, Los Angeles Monday, July 17, 2017 Columbus Crew vs. Eintracht Frankfurt, 7:30pm, Mapfre Stadium, Ohio Real Salt Lake vs. Manchester United, 10pm, Rio Tinto, Salt Lake City I know that more games will get announced later but that's 6 MLS teams playing 1 game each. 16 MLS teams have zero scheduled so far.
They don't even appear to be that "cash grabby". They are all being played at the MLS Team's stadium, rather than the nearest Power 5 Conference/NFL Stadium. Frankfurt and Swansea don't exactly bring a ton of sex appeal to the table either. Though that does sort of beg the question why these are necessary at all.
I thought it was obvious by saying a March match that it was a MLS pre-season match, ie MLS in England. When one of them find time to squeeze in a friendly in mid-season just before the stretch run, then I'll care about a European team playing an MLS squad, until then, I skip everyone of them.
