Viendo los casos de yepes y giovanny , pienso que primero deben ser asistentes de un gran dt..Para empezar su carrera
Hasta mourinho lo fue , sampaoli lo fue, Alexis lo fue , rueda lo fue, Leonel

I agree. I think that the mnagement wanted to give the fans an idol but forgot that a great playervis not necessarily a great coach, at least not at the beginning.

They should've gone with Jaime de la Pava, but they decided to go with a guy that had an incredible career as a player but zero experience as a coach, Yepes could have learned a lot from him acting as one of his assistants. Coaching kids for 6 months isn't enough to manage adults.

The other problem is that yepes isnt Coaching his players , he is in charge of his elder friends

So he can be objective with Aguilar , aquívaldo , mayer ....so he preferes bench roa, than his friend of 40 years

Some good moves by Dept Cali. Tho they said they wanted to keep Vargas at goal so let the uruguyan leave. If Nacional let's Armani go no way they will sell Vargas. Mina seems like a good gk tho

    Duque is coming as well.

First leg of the Copa Sudamericana tie against Luqueno.

Roa is looking beastly in these first minutes. I'm getting memories of the last Libertadores though...tons of unfinished chances..

I don't have an opinion regarding Cali. They have good squad ho can destroy you but the can also lose to Envigado or tie Luqueno at home...Very inconsistent and Yepes can't get the full potential out of his team. Maybe they need more experienced coach?

Well, he lasted more than I thought he would.

Some of the names that have been suggested are Coudet, Alfaro, Cheche, Alexis Mendoza and Cardenas.

Alexis can be a great option, now that Del Valle is out the Copa

Depor wins America 2-0 and qualified for the final. Benedetti continues his good form, def something Pekerman needs to think of for the next qualifiers, although Juanfer comes first.

Ugh...as someone who watches them week in and week out, I can tell you they're two very different players.

Benedetti cannot lead an attack the way Quintero can. Quintero is a ten, Benedetti is a mediapunta.

As for Benedetti owning Quintero last week, Quintero clearly had the better match in the second leg. That game was the perfect example of the difference between the two. Quintero was basically involved in EVERY single threatening play DIM had. Benedetti pops up in the attacking third with class.

    Anyways...We're in the final!!

Unfortunately we're going to be missing key players. Benedetti will serve a suspension cause of that silly celebration. I think Roa might be, too.

Missed the match, but the highlights show we had TONS of chances. Hope that doesn't come back to bite us.
