The things you will come up with just to avoid holding your hands up and admit when you're talking out of your ass. I guess you would have tired arms though.
What are you going on about ? I personally if I was him would turn around a sell. Unless the stadium really is months away from being started then id hold onto the club. Though Italy being Italy making any sort of forward progress is almost a foreign concept then why deal with it. Make your money and let some other guy deal with it.
He obviously came here with the intention of the stadium and making a huge windfall. After 5 years getting things in order he's not going to give that up for a small profit without trying everything possible. Don't be a dummy.
He could sell part of the club. Erick Thohir sold part of its stake in Inter not even 3 years after he bought the club.

So it would appear that we'll have to sell Manolas just to balance the books. Any purchases will have to come from transfers, EL money and hopefully CL money. Finishing second and making the EL final became even more critical.
Short piece on Pallotta and one sentence that made me kind of chuckle because its so true; "Pallotta is a revolutionary in a league that refuses to come out of the 1990s" http://www.italianfootballdaily.com/lets-talk-romas-james-pallotta/
Saying Italy is stuck in the 90s is generous. I don't know if revolutionary is the right word. He just brought Roma up to speed with the rest of the progressive world. Basic stuff like the website was overlooked for the longest time.
I know it doesn't belong here but so fitting given the discussion on Italy being decades behind. Tavecchio was re-elected.
For our Northeast USA contingent on this board. Roma will be playing Spurs at Red Bull Arena this July.
I certainly will be there. Considering doing a little roadtrip for the Boston game too. I assume the PSG game will be on the West Coast somewhere since the other two are on the East Coast.
Baldissoni: «Servono Champions e sponsor» No sh*t Sherlock. Can anyone here give me a logical reason why we still don't have a sponsor? I find this perplexing, 5/6 years now and no sponsor...
Pallotta addressed this when he was in Rome. He admits he made a mistake. The plan was that they were going to tie in the shirt sponsor with the stadium sponsor because they could get much more money that way. JP admitted he was naive in his estimate in getting the stadium built and kept thinking they were close to getting approval. Sure it was a mistake but at least the club isn't about to be sold at a flea market by Uni Credit.
Yeah, well, since we don't have a sponsor we're ok to start negotiations right now for next season. I truly hope that if this is true we have a sponsor signed before the mercato starts so we can at least know if we will actually have some funds without having to sell.
