I don't think so. Pierre was holdover with the US after Bob was canned, for a while at least, before working with the UAE national team(s). Then he spent last season as an assistant with one of the Sheffield clubs. I want to say Wednesday and not United, but I'm not 100% sure.

Obviously Bob was effective at Egypt despite language and cultural issues. Relatively, France is a much easier transition.

If nothing else he can repeat how much of a hero Lafayette is in the US

Evidently he is not fondly thought of in france because of his role in the revolution. Thought of as a vainglorious bumbler.

He did. 2nd street was renamed Lafayette street in the 1820's when Lafayette was on a "heroes tour" of the US. There's a building called the Lafayette Building around the corner from my house where he allegedly made a speech.

    Oh here's a link: http://historicalbatonrouge.blogspot.com/2008/08/lafayette-building.html

I was ambiguous,I meant his role in the FRENCH Revolution. He was tossed out of the country for being too centrist.

I am sick and tired of these Mods who promise new thread titles and then don't deliver.

We were promised a new dynamic, even possession-oriented thread title (le Havre, get it?), and then Bob starts with his new team, and the same old thread title is trotted out!

The Mods talked about the importance of a new thread title, and maybe a few suggestion thread titles were worked in for a few minutes of playing time, but NO NEW THREAD TITLE HAS HAD THE CHANCE TO BE WORKED INTO THE STARTING LINEUP!

The mods are comfortable with the Kyle Beckerman of thread titles when we KNOW this thread title has passed its prime!

    Mods out!

I hope you know that I reported your post to the mods!

... because that's the best way to get in touch with them. Either that, or name-dropping @bungadiri.

Awesome! Alternatively, maybe we should demand new mods. Will Sunil help us?

If we get rid of the mods and open up the forums, investment in BS will come pouring in and the board will be a place where only the best commenters rise based on the quality of their work.

You are absolutely correct, but I just tore my hamstring thinking about it. Out for 6 mo. New mod needed who can get results without driving us so hard.

    Temper your expectations people.

I, Kruck, will not run for mod in 2015.

(though I'm convinced my purges would be good for the welfare of the forum)
