The public, speech-making persona is only a part of what makes a successful campaigner. Alliances with other lawmakers. Alliances with behind the scenes support staff. Ability to oversee a large organization geared towards implementing policy. The ability to listen to constituents and plan a path to create policy and navigate it through the legislative process. These are all things that Hillary excels at. Want proof? She's a crappy public speaker and has a ... "problematic" relationship with the press, and she's the Democratic nominee and probable POTUS.
Jon Stewart made a come back last night.....Brilliant as usual. http://www.vox.com/2016/7/22/12255384/jon-stewart-stephen-colbert-donald-trump-late-show
I didn't watch the speech but the media seems to agree that a) it was deeply negative and describes a dystopian america that only Trump can fix, and b) well delivered We'll see if America will agree with him that these are dark times

I was once on the Oregon coast and some stoner couldn't remember if the ocean was the Pacific or Atlantic. Playing such a game would be disastrous. #justsayno
If there was some kind of success, I found it on the internetz... These images are awesome!!! http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/photoshop-battle-trump-family-cruz_us_5791bcd9e4b0bdddc4d3fd24
I'm surprised the Stones let them use their music, even if it was a bizarre choice of song. Was Trump trying to say that you mainstream Repugs who don't like him can't always get what you want (like a "true conservative" like all those losers he beat in the primary), but you get what you need, i.e. the one and only man who can truly make America grate again! Nah, that's too subtle for an audience of Trumpanzees! I don't know the political leanings of most popular musicians/bands, but just this week, Queen objected to his use of one of their songs, and Third Eye Blind were taking the piss out of the (conventioneer-dominated) crowd at a show, and lots of other examples of bands objecting to using their songs in Repug rallies. I remember Springsteen refusing to allow Reagan to use "Born in the USA" (obviously no one on his staff listened to anything but the chorus). Sure, a lot of country acts support Repubs, but from the Rock/Pop/Alt world, I'm guessing it would be a pretty small list of bands who would be OK with that.
Good thing Trump isn't some kind of loser who is such a candy-ass that he actually abides by someone's wishes when they respectfully ask. Otherwise, there's no music at all he could use...
