I am truly sorry that these kinds of things seem to come in clusters. It has been hard enough to endure what FC has endured, regardless of his merits as a coach, but to add to that, the early loss of a brother, that really stinks, and I know that is an understatement. My prayers go out to him and his whole family because these kinds of experiences influence everyone's lives for a long time. As someone physically no closer to the real Rapids situation than what I can garner on this board, I know that I have no first hand idea what kinds of things have influenced the way the Rapids have turned out this season. I would agree that they are definitely in a better place than they were even at the end of last season. The one piece that I think often goes unspoken is the influence the league organization has on the way each club is run. This is a league unlike any other league I have ever heard of, with players owned by the league. I know this is done under the surmisal that they are protecting the best interests of the league and American professional soccer, and they may be, but in the end, the things that happen definitely do not seem to favor the second cousins of the league, teams like Colorado, KC, RSL, San Jose. In the long run, I think this will be a good thing for both Fernando and the Rapids. I wish him well, and at the same time hope that the change will make a big difference in what we see on the field. Time will tell!!
Ha! Funny, and this is what I grew up with.... Or, how bout Beckham as an Aint? Maybe this is why we lost so much...
