I don’t know if it’s just me but I don’t see the video highlights.

I am very interested to watch limeño this season. My theory is if you put most of our national team players on one club we will do a whole lot better. Of course if these guys all succeed they will be split apart but I am glad they are all together. Very disappointed in the coaching choice by limeño but still there could be something special there with those u20 World Cup guys together again

Barrera is quite a good coach, although he coached in Nicaragua, his team showed strong discipline and create opportunity. Which was the case against Alianza sadly they just could not finish it off

I wish to see a team have only players from ES. I believe amarte did it last and they went to the final. Would also love to see a young team, a la Dragon, succeed

Yeap and it was a massive failure, he left dead last and ill struggle to avoid getting relegated. Sigh the only time vlubs hire a new coach is at the start of each season (I am glad most of the newbies are still there argentinian Emiliano Barrera, Colombian Diego Pizarro, Uruguayan Ruben da Silva and Salvadoran Francisco Robles)

Well Alianza unbeatable streak is over, it lasted 42 games. Audaz was the team to end it with a last minute goal giving them a much needed 2-1 win.

Victor Coreas is the new coach of Limeno, big suprise. this is the reason our league keeps stagnating, the same coaches with the same ideas yawn

Alianza have lost two games in a row, FAS ended Alianza home dominance.

Meanwhile Santa Tecla director Vidal Hernandez stated that he understand concern and has decided that the next remodelling of Estadio las delicas the pitch will change from synthetic to normal grass field.

Meanwhile the government had enough of Firpo slow payment and decided to send the police to recover the proceeds of Firpo home game to pay Firpo fomrer directors. Imagine if they did that with everytime club directors and FESFUT had this happen to them, no way will they stall and manage their finance better

There is one more game left in the regular season

In the relegation battle as it stands
Chalatenango 45 points (last game vs Sonsonate ) needs a draw to survive relegation
Sonsonate 43 points (last game vs Chalatenango) needs to a win to ensure survival
Dragon 42 points (last game vs Limeno) needs to win and hope Sonsonate loses or draws,

    Confirmed final spots
Alianza 48 points (Confirmed top two spot)
Santa Tecla 46 points (Confirmed top two spot)
FAS 42 Points (confirmed Third place) cannot go higher or lower.
Aguila 30 points (confirmed qualification can finish fourth or drop to fifth)
LA Firpo 27 points (confirmed qualification)
Audaz 26 points (survived relegation and as rewarded qualified to the final series)

Last two spots yet to be confirmed
    Pasaquina 24 points
Sonsonate 24 points * they could qualify if Limeno Loses, however they would lose their final spot if they are relegated just like what happened to atletico Balboa
    Limeno 23 points

    Final series
    [IMG]

However Pasaquina could lose their spot, as Sonsonate appealed to FESFUT. If they win their promotion and relegation playoff against Dragon, they will be able to play n the quarter finals

Dragon and Sonsonate finished equal on points, so a relegation match will be played on Tuesday 1st of May, 2018 at 7:00 pm

    Relegation playoff
Sonsonate 3-2 Dragon (Sonsonate goalscorers: José Manuel Rivera, Nicolás Fagúndez (penal) y McKauly Tulloch ; Dragon Goalscorers: Mártir Contreras (penal) e Isaí Aguilar)

Which means Dragon have been relegated to the second division, since they have been promoted back in 2013, their run could be summed up mix of high and low.

The high points: Winning the primera division back in 2016 and qualifying to the champions league
    [IMG]

The low point: relegation after bringing so much promise with a very youthful team and the horrible showing they had at the concacaf champions league (which included 1 draw and three losses including a 6-0 smashing done by saprissa)

    Author Comment

Sonsonate made a great effort to not only get the job done against Dragon but to back up and only lsoe 1-0 to Alianza, but 3 high intensity game in 7 days finally got to them and ALianza dispatched them quite easily. Hopefully now this will set the gorundwork for a strong Sonsonate who liek Chalatenango always bring a large crowds to their games.

Limeno did their best and overacheieved sadly their roster just was not strong enough to go up another level against a alianza or santa tecla .

Biggest shock was FAS being eliminated by Audaz, FAS has been playing some good football as of late and I honestly dont know what happened, Fans are calling for Christiam Alvarez to be sacked. Which would eb stupid considering what he has done in a limited time and squad.

Firpo organisation is shambolic, on the field they play with passion and heart and only lost the series. But behind the scenes, modesto Torres has been horrible not only has he failed to pay the debts, wages and the investment he prmised, but he had the audacity to criticise the coach Triguenos on whatsapp. He only found out about after journalist informed him. Rumors that owners of Pachuca in mexico want to purchase Firpo, please god anyone but the incompetent organisation.

    Second division
Final will be between Jocoro FC and Brujos de Izalco, If Jocoro wins they will be promoted automatically as they won the Apertura title, if Brujos de Izalco win they will face Jocoro FC again (in a promotion game where the winner is promoted to the primera division).
