What do you guys think of Fierro at Boca? He's now the second Chilean player on the squad, along with Gary Medel, who was one of the few bright spots last season. Borghi is putting together a nice young team, he's brought in a new veteran goalie and several talented defenders this offseason. And he's been pressing to get Fierro ever since he took over, so he must be really impressed with the guy.

Is Fierro a player who can destabilize a defense? I saw his goal with Flamengo, that you guys posted, and I really like the way he timed his run behind the last defender. Is that typical of his game? If so, then I think he'll be a natural to benefit from Riquelme's passing. (Assuming Riquelme signs, which we're still waiting for.)

I'm really looking forward to the season.

Bichi knows him very well since his days at Colo Colo. Fierro is more of a right winger than anything else. I always valued him for his crosses and shooting from longer ranges.

Fierro has an ability to be involved with the most popular teams in their respective countries & win the national championships so that's a plus. :D

Include him in the Gary Medel @ Boca thread.

Average player at best. 'That said, the only coach who has been able to get the most out of him is Borghi so that should work in Fierro's favor. Throughout his career, he has played mostly on the right: started out as a CF, moving to RW, then RM, RWB, and even RB at times. So that is something he offers: versatility (a plus, if you will).

No...unless as mentioned above, Borghi can bring the best Fierro back. Considering how much more competitive the Argie league is (compared to the Chilean one), I would be surprised if he even becomes a regular in the lineup.

    If you're basing this on Fierro's signing...:D

Also, Has provides a very useful assesment (specially re: his long-distance shots, etc.).
