    great professional win

Dzekos form is starting to worry me despite his goal against Spal last weekend. Hopefully that win boosts the morale of everyone in this team.

Great fkn achievement, who would have thought that at the draw...

If Liverpool top their group, Chelsea can only draw one of these 3: PSG, Barcelona and Besiktas. If they get Besiktas I'll be furious.

I agree, Dzeko was poor tonight. He hasn't been playing well. Everyone else had good games, with perhaps (imo) Stroot, Perotti and Ninja the standouts.

Great result to top the group! I knew we wouldnt just stumble and scrape our way through this group. We had to take the 6pts off Qarabag and cause an upset which we managed by taking 4pts off Chelsea.

I'm especially pleased for EdF. That's no mean feat to lead this team to group toppers in his first stint at CL football.

Nice info: even if Atletico had won both games against Quarabag we would have still topped the group.

I wish they'd get rid of not allowing match ups from the same country in the first knockout round. Especially now that coefficients don't matter as much for the top leagues.

It is indeed a huge thing for us to come through as group winners. Make no mistake about it; we are an average team and are millions miles behind the top teams. We will in the next stage, most probably be easily torn apart by any decent team.

However; huge credit to the team and above all our Zeman lover, apart from the horrid performance against Atletico he played this group perfectly. We have some way to go before we can compare it to the amazing results Spalletti achieved in the Champions league, but considering the quality of our team, more then well done. This team as a whole is going in the right direction.

I'd rather get Real than Bayern. They are kinda struggling and we didn't do so bad against them last time. Just couldn't score. Of course they'd probably hit stride just when we're going to play them.

I don't know. I feel like the point of Champions League is those big games. If we play Real Madrid or Bayern Munich so be it. I mean in the final 20 minutes to close out a game that our qualification depended on EDF brought on Pellegrini and Gerson. I love it. Bleed these kids. Let them play the best and grow. If we beat a Porto or Basel or whoever we play Madrid anyway next round.

That's the fun of Champions League. I want to see Roma match up against the big teams. I am over seeing us play Europa League types like Rapid Wien, Villarreal, or....AC Milan.

I just hope that whoever we play, we at least score, and don't get thrashed 7-1. The English commentators still constantly remind us about the last time.

Its subject to change based on today's results, but if the positions stay as they are, these are our chances.

Obviously we want to avoid Madrid and Munich, but if there was ever a year you wanted to play Real Madrid, this might be it. They have struggled a lot. But then again, its still Madrid and they could start hitting their stride by February.

If Napoli secure the 2nd spot, it increases our chances of Madrid or Munich, so we kind of have to root against that.

I'm not willing to go there yet. We won the group with Chelsea and Atletico Madrid, a few minutes after we were given the green light on a new stadium. What an amazing day.

The best part was waking up this morning and verifying yesterday happened! Not said with such confidence....but Great day to be a Romanista!

Real Madrid treat the first half of the season like a preseason nowadays. They were runners up to Dortmund last year and sleepwalked to the semis before waking up.

I mean... It's inevitable that we'll get Bayern or Real right? I'm totally expecting one of these two

We've NEVER been lucky with CL draws so I'm not even going to get my hopes up and wish for a team like Basel/Shaktar

We did get Shaktar once. We lost 1-6 on aggregate, I think.
