LP had a pretty good performance yesterday and Castro was not as bad as most are making him appear to, aside from that n00b move he made in the box.

Bottom line, we do not have defenders that can play Bosz high-line vs the speed and accuracy that a team like Real Madrid have. We simply do not have the speed to keep up and/or catch up.

We also seem to lack speed and accuracy up front. Beside Auba, our attack is rather slow with CP being the only one that offers any burst of speed.

To beat a team like Real, you cannot start with a team including players such as Castro, Sahin, Toprak, Burki and Piszczek,

That's pretty much half the team who are, unfortunately, not CL quality players, (maybe Sahin and Piszczek were previously) and with that in mind going toe to toe with an elite team like Real was always going to be tough.

Playing a high line with half a team of inferior players proved a poor tactic. The only viable approach would have been to bunker down and hope to catch them on the counter.

PB does not seem to have learned anything from the Spurs game , and his comments after this game don't inspire confidence .
After Saturday his team selection was predictable and with his tactics , the result was inevitable .
For me the jury is still out , and with the Buli looking weak and Bayern not themselves we have a chance , but still not convincing .

I got to disagree here. It's not just 'who had the numbers' here. It's who do you play against the biggest team in Europe. You have to adjust to the opponent and this forum all seems unanimous that some player should not have started that game. Pulisic already has experience and is born for these types of game, while Castro is perfect less important games. Sahin no longer has the speed for these games, Piszczek showed multiple time he is prone to mistake when under pressure. We needed Weigl even if not at 100% form yet. With the starting lineup we all made in our pants and felt less then confident... Just look at page 1 of this tread when they announced the lineup. Sure we are all amateurs here, but we were all be able to predict the results why PB did not?

Pretty much everybody on here and the majority of fans on twitter predicted the outcome based on a midfield of Sahin and Castro. The only exception was Peter Bosz.
