Nice group for us. Two teams we should beat , and a headliner. Group C is intense. I'll enjoy that one.
Real Madrid is very unlikely to drop any points to Pilzen or CSKA Moscow. That's a good thing. If Roma don't get out of the group there is nobody to blame but themselves.
Have Madrid lost the x factor without Ronaldo? They are obviously going to still be a top side but they have lost that player that is capable of scoring a goal at any minute. As long as we have the players up and running with EDF's tactics by that time I see us comfortably competing with them.
In the biggest games, perhaps. Still think they're good enough to reach the quarters at the least. I think a bunch of their players are gunna have really good years now that he's gone, personally.
Not to underestimate Real Madrid, but if there was ever a year to face them it's this one. Good draw overall, but going to Moscow is going to really suck. If we go deep it could be another strong payday for us. It's going to be tough for Inter and Napoli to progress out of their groups.
Neither here nor there. We could've certainly drawn someone not a buffed as Real, nor a damn Russian winter CSKA, but we've avoided some tougher teams from Pot 3 and if we don't qualify in the current circumstances it would be our own fault, and that's the best you could ever say about a CL draw really. Unless you are Porto or Manchester United, of course.
No doubt they will be good enough for that. I just dont see a lineup from them that makes me think if this guy is on form today, they'll blow us out of the water. The worst result I can imagine taking against them is a hard fought 2 goal lose. It will be interesting to see how the team gels over the coming weeks. If it does I think we can compete for top spot again.
If Modric, Isco or Bale bring their A game , we'll be in trouble. Dunno if that results in us getting hammered , but those guys certainly could do some damage. As could others, for sure, but those are the game-wreckers, imo. They should be considered heavy favourites for 1st in the group. For me, they're still much better than the versions of Chelsea/Atletico we encountered last season. That doesn't mean we don't have a chance, of course.
I like it. We'd have a pretty good idea of where we stand after the 4th leg. And that's a decent closing match for us, although it would probably mean 3 free points for CSKA from Real, unless we do Real at least once in the direct matches with them.
Atalanta are already out and Inter and Napoli in tough spots. If Juve, Roma, Lazio and Milan don’t make finals or semi finals it will be bad for the league.
Eh, coefficients don't really matter. Serie A just needs to stay ahead of France, and there is a 20 point gap as of the last update. I would be more worried if I was Germany, who are drifting further and further from the other top 4.
