So I figured it might be worth having a separate thread for the final. We of course were so close, yet so far. My understanding is, that a Real win is in our best interests with regards to maybe making Pot 2 for next season. Perhaps someone can clarify the situation.
We need Real Madrid to win + one of two teams to not go through in the qualifications. The teams were Benfica and Basel or some such. Someone would know which two exactly. So we don't need them to win at all costs, but it sure will be nice those cheating English c*nts to go down in flames. They are the ultimate paragons of everything cringe and mock-worthy in the English football.
I want Liverpool to lose unjustly. Ronaldo with a dive and winning pen in the last few mins. 2-1 Madrid
I'm actually pulling for Liverpool so Salah gets Ballon d'Or for the sake of parity with that award. The three peat for Real would not be a great look for UEFA either. But I think Real will handle them like they did everyone else on their tough road to the final.
If Liverpool win, they'll overtake us in the UEFA coefficient ranking, which would make it a bit harder for us to make it to pot 2. So I hope they lose.
I got a feeling Liverpool will win this. And if it happens with shady calls I will lose interest in Champions League.
