Obviously, Celtic are the favorites at home, but I still would not take Benfica lightly.

The importance of this game reminds me of the clash with Bayern at CP in 2003! If we manage to win (unfortunately we did not against Bayern), our chances to go through the group will be splendid!

However we'll need a top performance in order to defeat Benfica...who seem to be weaker than last year, but nevertheless are a very good side!

No doubt we're a better side w/ Gravesen on the field... but I'll try to console myself by saying at least he won't be gift wrapping passes to the opposition a la the Man Utd match. Would hate to see another European tie w/o JVoH, really hope he's fit. C'mon the CELTS

Dont see how you came to that conclusion myself, hes been shocking since he arrived, put it down to lack of fitness for now but he'd better get the finger out.

Looks like they should be able to ride out the lead. Well done.

    SEN-********ING-SATIONAL!

I thought we started well, and barring the last 10 minutes of the first half when they came into it a bit more we just played them off the park in every way imaginable. Great running, creative football, winning all the 50-50's and with arguably 3 or 4 first-teamers missing too. Ive been very impressed with our form of late.

If we play like that in portugal Im convinced we can come away with something.

Yes, they did...especially directly after their 0:1 lag. However, our win is pretty deserved (even if a little too high)!

What a great day for the club and all its fans in the whole world!! Our Bhoys got inspired by the great support and played with a lot of passion! I don't think we have ever had better chances to go through the group stage than this time. Simply fantastic feeling!!!

We are proud of you, guys!

PS: Miller, Maloney & Sno were outstanding in my eyes! Kudos to the whole team, considering the fact that we had to replace 3 important players tonight!

Perhaps I should of said that we'd have more quality (despite the fact he hasn't been producing) on the field than that we're a better side, because seemingly we haven't been, but of course it takes time to get settled and familiar (hopefully not much longer).

As has already been said, fair play to Sno on a great performance. I'd like to see a MF of Maloney Gravesen Sno and McGeady gelling well.

    Well done the Hoops today.

Damn nice win. I thought Benfica were going to put up a real scrap, but Celtic appeared to own the day. The crowd was top class, like usual. I think Celtic is going to advance behind MUFC. You know once you get out of the group stages, the CL is up for grabs.

    Well done, Miller!

I have been very impressed with our play so far this campaign. We finally have the depth that we lacked when MON was leading us through Europe. We played an excellent game on every front fast paced smooth movement of the football. I expect another victory in a fortnight.
