hate the red and black. a cheap rip off of AC Milan. Red has never been our color. In fact, it's the color of the rags. Hate it hate it hate it. The navy blue is much much better

Please do not change the home kit too much. It needs to be this color because it's our color.

Third kit. Please take away the white one with the red and black strip.

    Re: 2011-2012 Kit thread

The story of the red and black kit goes back to the 60s when Big Malcolm Allison brought it in after seeing Milan in it, hoping it'd instill a stronger mentality in his players. Since then we've sporadically used it as either an away kit or third kit. We used it as recently as 2008 because I remember Robinho in it. Reviving it now is shrewd marketing though as the kit is linked so much to our FA Cup success before this year's win and the late Neil Young who we did the Poznan in tribute to several times during the Cup run.

Our white away kit with the red and black stripe, which I really love, is to remain as our third choice kit I heard.

The blue away kit from last year slots in as the third kit for 2011-2012. They trotted the White/Black kit the last two years. I think we are going with the (Gasp) United trend of new home shirt every year, new away shirt every year. Previous seasons away kit slots in as a third shirt.

so what are you saying were gonna have 4 jerseys id be surprised id expect the new red and black to be our new away and the navy blue one will most likely become our third and well prolly do away with the white jersey..... the same sky blue for home of course

Ya i just confirmed this on their offical websit the have
11/12 home is staying the same
11/12 away is going to red and black
11/12 third is the old navy blue from 10/11

What you said at the bottom was correct, and what I intended to write, although not that clearly. I'd imagine us having 3 kits every year and the 3rd kit will be the previous seasons away kit.

I won a bet with a Villa fan that City would win something this year or next year (winner gets a jersey bought by the other). So this new away kit will be my personal prize for the FA Cup win.

I love what they did in those shirts, but I never again want to see the stands full of them.

I like how the new home kit came with the nice felt lettering/numbers. I picked up the new away and current 3rd kit and both came with heat pressed numbers/lettering.

Now just waiting on a CL kit. Yes, I have a kit addiction problem. I will be going to a KA meeting soon. :p

Where did you get your kit from? Was it from the MCFC official store/kitbag?

I'm going to order a CL home kit I think

I just received my CL Kun Aguero LS jersey and the Mercer jacket. Love it although I want an away LS shirt now. Add that to my Cesc kit and I also have an addiction

I didn't like this year's kit originally, but it's grown on me.

Maybe it's all the winning. :D

I got the away kit and is it just me or do they have a weird fit? They almost feel too short, like they didn't use enough material lol.

I agree completely. The home kit fits great, the away feels short.

    Re: 2011-2012 Kit thread

I have the away kit in medium size and 9 times out of 10 medium fits me perfectly but it does feel a bit tight. Not so much I can't wear it but enough that at the shoulders etc. I'd be a bit scared to throw my arms up and down in fear of tearing material, haha.

Exactly, it almost makes you not want to move in fear of ripping it. Idk, weird cut I guess.

So the new home kit feels good? Don't know if I should pick it up.

I like the home kit compared to the away kit in fit, and feel.

If every shirt could fit like the 09/10 Home shirt i'd be happy.
