Just seen that you've already opened a thread for this cup druryfire. Today's schedule: Zenit St Petersburg - Flora Tallinn Skonto Riga - MIKA Dinamo Kiev - HJK Helsinki FC Balkan - Soligorsk Tobol Kostanay - Bunyodkor FC Balkan - Shakter Soligorsk Inter Baku - Neftchi Kochkor-Ata Russia U21 - FK Ekranas Feel free to share the teams' current shapes and ambitions about this tournament.
Anybody knows which teams are using their A squads and which use the reserve ones for this tournament?
Boreas - Can you shed any light on why Helsinki are in once again? I think last year they took part because the team from Gerogia withdrew. Possibly same again? Last year Bunyodkor came with a reserve team but one year on they have had a big reshuffle, so maybe they have brought all the players that haven't made the Uzbek national team squad. Also, can you shed any light on why not all national champions are present? It does seem to be the trend from the European teams in general. Something of note, just like last year, the Russian U21 team won't take part in the Quarter Final stage if they make it.
Here's a short preview: http://peterbein.wordpress.com/2011/01/13/cis-cup-2011-tournament-preview/ I don't know really. Every year strange things do happen in this cup, as far as the participant teams are concerned.

All teams are under 21 this year. Normally it's clubsides but has changed to internationals this time around.
