FC Cincinnati push forward with ambitious plan ahead of MLS move https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2018...ti-push-forward-ambitious-plan-ahead-mls-move
I think the city is building a garage and there is another garage nearby -by Music Hall/CET. There is also a garage 0.25 miles east under Washington Park. I think these garages are about 2,500 cars total. The Cincinnati Museum Center (Hall of Justice) has a large surface lot less than 0.5 miles to the west.
unfortunately the competitiopn just got harder as the folks who own "Enterprise" have thrown their hats into the ring to get an expansion team in St Louis with a private money stadium
Stadium looks great. Props to keeping prices down this year on ST as well. $199 I hear. Though I guess the bump will come when you move out of Nippert. Speaking of, is 2021 the target date for the new digs?
Here's a link on season ticket prices for next year... Most along the touch lines are either $585 or $455. There are very few $199 tickets, which are GA behind the south goal. https://www.fccincinnati.com//season-tickets The stadium is currently planned to open in March 2021. https://www.fccincinnati.com/news_article/show/957266

Time to start looking at which current players should make the move to MLS. https://www.cincinnati.com/story/sp...-which-2018-players-join-team-mls/1888292002/
Several existing teams when they moved up had a camp in December for players by invite only. The ones that didn't make the "A" team were invited to the "B" team. Just an idea.
Does anybody know what areas of the world the FCC scouts are concentrating on? Does coaching staff move up to the A team, stay with the B team or split up and go both ways?
Corben Bone, Jimmy McLaughlin, Forrest Lasso to return to FC Cincinnati for MLS in 2019 https://www.cincinnati.com/story/sp...bone-mclaughlin-lasso-coming-back/1906368002/
FC Cincinnati must first sign players to play matches that will likely begin in March. Here's a breakdown of FC Cincinnati's basic personnel needs and some of the guidelines they'll follow: A roster eligible for league play of up to 30 players. Within the 30 players is a 20-player senior roster. In 2018, MLS stipulated roster spots 1-20 be allotted a total of $4,035,000 of salary cap dollars. A "maximum" deal in 2018 cannot exceed $504,375 (salary-cap relief mechanisms exist is several forms but some haven't been finalized). A supplemental roster (roster spots 21-24) which doesn't count against the salary cap. In 2018, each individual supplemental roster spot carried a minimum contract of $67,500. A reserve roster (roster spots 25-30) which doesn't count against the salary cap. In 2018, each of these spots carried a minimum contract of $54,500. Up to eight international roster spots. These spots are movable assets that can be traded and acquired. Up to three designated-player spots (the rights to the third of which is essentially bought from MLS unless the player is younger than 23 years old). The "DP" asset is a mechanism typically used to attract elite talent. It allows the club to bear additional financial burden outside of a maximum contract and salary cap constraints. https://www.cincinnati.com/story/sp...s-build-its-roster-2019-mls-season/753163002/
I'm curious what current players roles would be in MLS......Starters, Bench/sub, Reserve? I would say Adi is unquestionably a starter and Ledesma has good odds too. If the reports are accurate....then I would say Bone, Alashe, Lahoud, McLaughlin, Lasso could probably make the 18 (bench) in MLS. The big question I think for a lot of the guys is whether it's worth making the jump up.....especially if you're in your prime....a high end talent in USL.....but less likely to start in MLS. I think guys like Welshman, Albadawi, Smith, Barrett, Newton could also be solid MLS depth but probably should keep getting quality playing time in USL in the prime of their career. I would actually sign Konig and possibly Hoyte too. Clearly not as starters....but just as experienced depth guys who dont have as much of a future to worry about as the others.
