1 goal, 1 assist, with a half played.

    Not too shabby.

@bungadiri is not going to be too happy about the PBP going on in this thread.

I love the Bundesliga. All 'Muricans - players and fans - should get a mandatory tutorial. That is all! :D

    Great match by CP.

Comes in early due to injury, and plays well inside and outside. A goal and an assist and a beautiful mazy run through the heart of Leverkusen.

As good as Dembele is he can be very inconsistent, and CP is very reliable in possession and decision making. That final assist to Guerrero showed how perfect his timing and touch is when receiving and distributing the ball.

What a bright future he has professionally and with the USMNT.

They kept the tape running on Foxsoccer2go at the end of the match. Awesome to see the team go down to the end of the pitch with the yellow wall and sit in front of their fans before getting up and dancing as the crowd danced in the stands. Watching a BuLi match there is moving onto the bucket list.

A goal, an assist, getting blasted in the back by the ball during a goal celebration, praise heaped upon him by the commentators...t'was a nice day for Christian.

Christian Pulisic is keeping him out.

I was at the game tonight.

By "at" I mean I was at a bar near the game.

By bar, I mean I was shouting down boorish 'Kussen fans in the streets.

Everyone knowns Leverkusen is just Cologne's northern parking lot.

Dembele is the best player in the BL right now. Kid is lights out.

He's young and it's obvious to me - and apparently Tuchel - that his game is much better coming in as a sub. Today he showed decisive moves to the inside that had been lacking and one of those moves set up his own goal. Another similar move should have been a goal but Dembele missed.

I wonder if he will start the next CL game.

I had thought over the last few weeks that it's not the worst thing in the world for him to sit for a little while and come on as a sub.

But, it was very impressive how he took his chance yesterday. The conviction with which he took it is not what you see out of every 18 year old. I bet he starts Wednesday.

No way. Dortmund is where in the table exactly? With all that talent they should be doing wayyyyyyyy better and the first guy to blame should be the guy sitting on the ball.

Actually, its the opposite. You blame players that are under-performing for the team's under-performance. You tell them to start playing more like Dembele.
