This looks like the old Dortmund. I can't tell whether Stöger is coming around or if the players are (thankfully) ignoring him.

Well he actually started a good lineup. He's dropped Schmelzer. Weigl and Goetze in the pivot. The attacking midfield is fast a d fluid with Sancho Reus and Pulisic. Philip up top allows the 3 behind to get in behind.

They should have put this away

This kid Sancho is REALLY, REALLY good. Kid is the real deal. Skills, vision, composure at such an age. Damn.

CP better step up his game. It will be fun watching Reus, CP, and Sancho combining up top.

CP and dortmund looked so much better. he is so much better for the team, and they are much better with him playing more centrally. his decision-making wasn't very good, but he's just so good at dribbling, and much more dangerous when he has options beyond putting in a cross.

Putting sancho on the other wing, and weigl back at the 6 stabilized the defense, and opened up the attack. I think it's too little, too late for stoeger, but it does seem like he has turned a corner.

sancho was good, but bayer gave him very little respect. he consistently got the ball in plenty of space with a single defender arriving late.

and that's not to take anything away from him. he actually reminded me some of cp from 2 years ago. he just benefited from not being a big part of the scouting report.

CP created virtually everything in the first half. I think he performed just fine. Sancho had a great game and it will only help give everyone more space when there is actually a threat opposite Pulisic.

Yes, CP did very well in the first half but dropped off significantly in the 2nd half.

    It's a 90min game, not 45min.

And has the most minutes on his legs this season of any dortmund attackers playing in this game.

Not discounting Sanchos game one bit, fantastic performance.

Best team performance in ages, including last year. The attacking players looked for one another. What's new? Sancho. His ball handling and willingness to look to make passes opens the attacking spaces for others, Reus, Pulisic. Could've, should've been 6-7. Love it; even better than with Dembele who ball hogged.

Pulisic played an awesome game. In the 2nd half he played deeper so he wasn't the usually 3 players up for the counter attack. He probably was gassed.

Sancho had a great second half. His first was mehhhh. But that s why young talent goes to Dortmund... so that they get the second half.

Also if someone can highlight how CP dribbled past around six players at around minute 10 you will be legend.

Only through 30 mins so far... BVB attack looking good. CP has had a good first half but that Sancho... whew, kid looks legit. Incredible finish on the first goal.

Reus just blasts one as I'm typing this, 2-0. Looking good Dortmund.

Oh shit! Twist #2, VAR offside call! Damn if he's off he's off by a an inch or two. Harsh call.

  22. That sounds suspiciously accurate:D

What a match by Sancho, best player on the pitch by a mile.

Reus making the case he has something to offer for the WC too.

Very good game by Pulisic. True, he got a bit eclipsed by Sancho, but remember when Puli was just starting how his quality took other teams by surprise? Same here with the English player.

It's different once they put two guys on you.
