Christian Pulisic at AC Milan

Discussion in 'Yanks Abroad' started by Balerion, Jun 30, 2014.

  1. BVB (and Leipzig) have a daunting task ahead. It has been 21 years since the last success for a German club in the Europa League. 21 years ago it was Schalke that took the trophy (then called the UEFA Cup) for the last time for a German club.

  2. Within a few weeks Batshuayi made BVB fans forget about Aubameyang played for them. The saboteur is gone and the hungry 40 million kid makes BVB a winner again.

  3. http://www.goal.com/en/news/batshua...-brilliant-dortmund/qjybnt4gq1gb19u3qwunnt362

Batshuayi has reached five goals for Dortmund in his first three games, while Aubameyang needed no less than seven to reach the same mark.

    3 - Pierre-Emerick @Aubameyang7 needed 7 games to reach 5 goals for @BVB, @mbatshuayi only 3. Replacement. #BVBATA — OptaFranz (@OptaFranz) 15 de febrero de 2018

If he continues in this vein the star might just prove the best signing of the transfer window - while Auba remains on just one goal for Arsenal from his first two starts.

unfortunately, this is just a short term loan and not a full transfer.

One of these damned if you do damned if you don’t kinda things, If he continues at this pace they will not be able to afford him and if he doesn’t continue at this pace they are not going to want him.

Yeah, that was one of the bright spots. He seemed to have some good chemistry with Bats, and he seems to be developing an understanding with Schürrle.

Gnabry is ........piss. So glad gunners got rid of him. Don't feel like Bayern is right place for Pulisic. He needs a place where he can make some mistakes and take some risks.

Dortmund seems like it meets that billing. Anyways, do people not realize that if a club invests 100 mil+ in him that he will be able to make some mistakes and not be benched right away? No club is going to just throw that investment away unless its continual over a LONG time.

Hopefully no EPL for him, at least in the next couple years. If it is destined I would hope for Liverpool, Mou is where CP’s career goes into a coma.
Chelsea likely makes sense as they will probably lose Hazard and will be looking for another creative mid. Bummer

He wants no part of Mou. I'd think Pool would be top his list cause of Klopp but I could see him enjoying Chelsea as well.

I'm pretty excited for this. I think this will be good for him. Although I don't think this is necessarily a punishment I do think that it will give CP some healthy rage. I see him coming on for the last 20-30 minutes. Hopefully takes the chance to run at tired defenders and shows why he's so important. I don't think Gotze will be too effective as a winger so the chances of him coming on are high, even though Gladbach are in terrible form.

Looks like Gotze is in the middle.

I do agree that getting some success running at tired legs may see him redeem whatever it is he lost over the winter break / his short injury.

Does it have to be punishment? Maybe they are planning on starting him in Europa league and consider this one against a struggling Gladbach a gimme so they are going with the B team of the moment here... When is the next Europa league clash? Just looking for silver linings here.

No i agree with you, I DONT think its punishment. Afterall, Toprak is being rested as well. I think its much needed rest but CP might not see it that way. Getting a little angry might be what he needs.
