I have written here 3 times that Barcelona is encouraging this stuff. Also, some Spain-based Real Madrid twitter handle that has 19k followers says that Real has never wanted and would never go in for Dembele, as they rate Pulisic higher. He also claims that Pulisic is already on their roadmap. Probably bullshit, but kind of cool that CP's the object of bullshit put out by an RM gossip monger.
There was an interesting tidbit in the Guardian UK's write up of the Wolfburg match: the lede was "no Dembele no problem", then they noted CP's peformance, and said, almost in passing that "some Barca observers have wondered if they are targeting the right BVB wonderkid". What a time to be alive.
Pulisic is completely non-controversial. He puts his head down and does his job. He doesn't give anything juicy to the press, he doesn't argue with anyone, in short, he's boring. That's why his threads on the BVB boards are rather short: what more is there to day? He's just dang good.
Some here have suggested that BVB not selling at BArcas prices is somehow unethical. That's not the case. What's funny?
Yea "moral authority" is for the Pope or maybe Steven Pinker. Let's just stick with soccer business as soccer business.
Depends on the definitions you are using, but they are close enough in this situation to make my point. What is not ethical is rarely moral.
Do the 2nd and 3rd writing make it more true? Barca's directors not making a lot of friends these days
If Dembele stays he and BVB will get over this and he will be integrated back into the team. Also, these young players need to stop going crazy just because Barcelona wants them. There is a reason Neymar left Barcelona besides a bigger payday.
Why didn't I know Mark Pulisic is now an assistant coach at my hometown team. Rochester Rhinos? Is this common knowledge? I really don't follow them.
Can't wait to see a "Boring Christian Pulisic" parody twitter account alongside the "Boring James Milner"
I know because it was probably posted here when his Dad left the BVB youth after CP had become established as a professional footballer.Son is 18, has a real professional footballer contract, so Papi went home to Momma. I have a question, does anybody know if OD flat refuses to honor the contract and does not get the Barca deal over the line, can he lose his football "credentials?" It seems like Fifa would not allow him to pay for anybody until that issue was settled. I teach for a living and I can only leave midyear if I get a release from my contract. If for some reason the district refused that request, I have to work for them for the rest of the year, get a sicknote, or lose my license and the other school cannot hire me.
