Were you concerned he'd be half-assing it before?

This really depends on who we play. A tough group and we must scratch and claw just to advance, only to play a 1 seed in R16 who might be Argentina, Brazil, France or Germany. If we don't beat one of those teams you can hardly call it a failure.

His agent shouldn't say anything. Once you start responding to rumors you have to keep responding to them or else you get the "His agent didn't deny it, it must be true reports".

Putting on fake reports when you actually plan on leaving in a year isn't the answer.

Dortmund fans are too worried about Dembele and this season to focus on what Pulisic may or may not do in 2018.

Dembele apparently left his rental property(owned by Klopp) a mess when he bolted back to France. Now he's got multiple BVB players speaking out against him. Then BVB claims no contact with Barca in over a week.

What happens if the deal doesn't happen?

That's so German. To own the rental property where the players reside.

Look, Dembo doesn't like BvB. He never did. It was just a step up. His behavior confirms he is a glam hound.

Like I said before, NEVER dick around with a german holding a signed contract. They really would not trade him, lose $20mm and the player and the locker room and half the season just to tell him: I told you so.

This is one of the major reasons why I am not sold on him being a future BDO player. Unless he changed dramatically, mentally, and significantly improve his flaws.

This was known coming to Dortmund. Bayerns old technical director Michael Reschke said in an interview that Bayern and Barcelona were after Dembele. Dembele wanted Barcelona but felt he wasn't ready for a top club yet. He needed a stepping stone, Dortmund.

You can be mad but his intentions were always known.

I gotta say, the arguments that he seemed overly selfish while playing are certainly getting a lot of ammo now!

Nobody is commenting on the ambition itself, so leave that poor straw man alone.
The observation is that he is being a self-centered and dishonorable prick about it. The people getting punished the most? His teammates. Already 2 have openly criticized it; keep in mind how rare that is. Seriously, screw him.

Then he should have won BDO last season???

BDO will continue to be dominated by Messi/Ronaldo for the next few years. Then it's Neymar's turn to take over the torch. Who else after Neymar? I don't think Dembele is.

At least for Messi, he's already in pretty serious decline, health wise, and he will struggle to play a full slate and he's not going to get any break next summer either so after this season I really don't see him as a contender anymore.

Ronaldo is a physical freak (in ways Messi isn't stature wise) and we'll see how his body holds up as he gets into his mid 30s, but I'd be surprised if he's still the world's top player at 35 in three years.
