Mor has been TERRIBLE this preseason, outside of two goals in Japan. He can't pass, he's selfish, and he chooses to try to dribble 3 players laterally, and then passes backwards. Don't be fooled by 30 minutes of football.
Not a good half for Pulisic overall. Started bad but got a little better once he was moved more centrally and given more freedom to drop deeper and get involved in the play. Dortmund can't keep the ball very well today and Bochum fully deserved their goal. I thought Mor and Schurrle both looked like business. Puli looks off today;I hope he's alright. Commentator was saying something about Pulisic and I don't think it could be positive after that half. He needs be able to impose himself on the match a little more or he can't be a CAM for them just yet. Maybe I am just overreacting to a poor half.
I don't know what game you are watching but Mor has been one of the worst players of the half. He's lost the ball nearly every time he's had it, and the one time he was in on goal, his bad touch took him away from goal and his cross was awful. Pulisic has been "meh" mainly because he's been invisible for a few stretches by he hasn't lost the ball and has found the right pass most of the time. I bet his pass percentage is high that half. Mor, Isak, Schurrle, Gotze and Zagodou have been awful. Everyone else has been meh.
Well you are going to lose the ball when you are trying to do something. Pulisic is CAM and is doing little to nothing which in my opinion is much worse than trying to do something and failing in the offensive third. At least Mor is making an effort to impose himself on the match. CP needs to be more aggressive. He doesn't need defenders here. He needs to produce.
Pulisic played LW with Schurrle as the recessed 10 in a 4-3-3. Puli did pinch in at times. The most dangerous BVB have looked are in combinations with him. Mor has looked like trash, doing typically Mor things like holding on too long and not combining. Schurrle has been ineffective in his combination and distribution and just seems to take low percentage shots from distance.
emre mor continues to miss wide open players, pulisic was making a nice run and was open but mor's head was down dribbling like an idiot
There has to be a component of travel fatigue here with all that Asia hopping, PR with the fans. Could use a break and have someone sub in for him.
Whenever Mor has the ball, Dortmund is operating at like 15% capacity. His first instinct is to put his head down, and he never sees Puli who always makes a perfect run entering the box on the left.
Pulisic should get the assist for that. He did turn upfield and create the chance so good for him to make an impression on the game. He was being left in so he could have a chance to make an impression.
