Nice to see him get the full 90s but it's not so much fun to see such a talented attacking player get stuck doing the shitwork and not creating goals more directly.
He also had two fantastic through balls that dembele and reus failed to finish, and also couldve been clear on goal a few times, but his teammates didnt see him.
I dont think he will unfortunately. Reus and PAE both played a half and dembele was subbed late. From the sub patterns it seems he wants those 3 fresh for Bayern. Maybe Puli starts out wide in Durms role ugh.
He's only 18 but Christian Pulisic is making his 50th appearance for Borussia Dortmund today vs. Gladbach. #BVBRemarkable feat! pic.twitter.com/RNrsj6X8Ih— SCOUTED (@scoutedftbl) April 22, 2017 I thought he had a terrific game despite not scoring/assisting. Raphael Guerreiro is another tremendous player who BVB may have a difficult time holding on to. Amazing to think that BVB got Guerreiro and Dembele for 27£ million while they paid 42£ million for Rode and Schurrle.
After watching that game I don't get how none of what CP did counted as a successful dribble. He made his markers look foolish.
Ha, I just had that same exact thought. Checked whoscored and not a single dribble? What do they count as a dribble? Seemed to have more today than in matches where he gets 2-3.
Americans hype Puli of course. This is a non-American writer for Sky. I'm not greatly experienced and haven't seen many players. But Christian Pulisic is the best 18-year old I've seen play football.— Alex Chaffer (@AlexChaffer) April 22, 2017 Hype everywhere.
Crazy! Still 18 with 50 games played in the Bundesliga! Who would have guessed at the start of this season?
50 total. Includes UCL/Europa/Pokal. Still, will hit 150+ appearances before his 21st birthday if healthy.
Did anyone see Derek Rae tweet something very similar a few weeks ago? He's not American either, and very well respected in Europe.
I was worried CP wouldn't get enough games this year, and now I'm worried about whether he's been overworked!
Tied for best grade with Guerrero by Der Westen at 2.5 Christian Pulisic: Tat, was ein Christian Pulisic tun muss: schnell rennen, beim Gegner Krisensituationen auslösen. Note: 2,5 Christian Pulisic: That which Christian Pulisic must do: run fast and create crisis situations for opponents. So it was at the beginning of the game, when the prospective midfielder Dahoud brought him down somewhat more inside than outside the 16. Needed to make it 3:2 (62), but was also the most conspicuous Dortmunder on this evening.
That's a good summary of his performance IMO. He should have done better on the setup from Dembele, but then again, he also should have had two assists in the 1st half when Reus and Dembele should have done better with his passes. Overall, he was skipping around defenders as he does when he's at his best and he looked pretty sharp.
