Seems that EVERY one of our NT players abroad this weekend scored and dedicated it to Chucho. W. Ayovi N. Mina C. Noboa J. Montero F. Martinez Most of these guys don't even score on a regular basis. Shows you what happens when a player is inspired. Joao Rojas seems to be the only one who played and didn't score. Renato and Felipao's games are still to be played.
Class tributes from Club America, Santos Laguna and Birmingham. Chucho had great charisma in addition to his considerable talent.
I'm going to miss criticizing Chucho. He drove me absolutely insane with some of the stuff he did. Not because I thought he was bad but because I believed he was capable of so much much more. God he was so frustrating. In the end, he did it his way and that's all that counts. Players like Chucho opened doors for future Ecua Footballers and will be a great example for the future Kids coming up. he will live forever....RIP Chucho
Renato scored in his match. Guerron didn't but he only played the last 15 minutes. This just leaves Felipao, I don't think he's played yet? Pretty amazing how motivated these guys are. This is not normal for these guys all to score.
Noboa's was the most emotional, he went to his knees and kissed the black ribbon on his arm. The others pointed to the sky with 2 fingers making the #11.
2009 when Chucho got the news that his wife was having twins http://www.hoy.com.ec/noticias-ecuador/mellizos-mejores-goles-de-chucho-366572.html
I hear he had his first kid at the age 0f 16 before marrying Liseth. He really liked to score goals...
For those who missed the special: "Chucho, Grande Muy Grande" on Televisa/Galavision.. here's part 1 of 5 part 2 of 5 part 3 of 5 part 4 of 5 part 5 of 5
When I heard the news, I thought it was a joke by my cousin, he said it was all over Facebook. I head over to EcuaGol and they have the article on what just had happened. I was shocked quite frankly, could not believe it or even dare to accept this. A man in the best shape of his life passing away at the ripe age of 27! It definitely took its toll on me that day.. Chucho, I always got so happy when you scored for the NT, showing off that charisma on the field. If you wasn't able to score you would definitely contribute to the plays, so you were definitely an essential part to the team. Through the times that I gotten mad you didn't score to the times where you showed up and scored out of nowhere and gave us the win, I'm thankful to have at least seen you play. Gone but not forgotten.. Descansa en paz goleador..
I knew he would. It's amazing how all our players scored in their first game after Chucho's passing. Hope they can bring the same motivation to the qualifiers. Anybody have a close up of the tattoo he got for Chucho? I want to get the same one.
Valencia posted the pic on his twitter of his tattoo. It's nice and simple. I like it. Loving all the scoring from all the players and specially that its dedicated to Chucho. BTW Valencia could have had at least two more goal. He actually hit a shoot with his left foot. He seems to be going up in the box more than before in this game.
