Chris Woods at Everton was instrumental in bringing some American goalkeepers in for training sessions and trials wasn't he? Sean Johnson and Zach MacMath were recent examples.........................

It can't hurt, but we'll see.

I'll bet this is the end of him with the USMNT in the near future.

I'm betting Manyoo will have more requirements and time commitment than Everton.

Yup, agreed. No chance he'll continue for both Man U and USMNT at same time. I'd like see Kasey Keller, Marcus Hahnemann or Juergen Sommer get the position. Zach Thornton or Will Hesmer could make good GK coaches as well.

Does anyone know if Chris Woods is currently with the US national team? Has he been at the last two friendlies? If not, who is coaching the Goalkeepers? Vasquez?

But surely that sort of thing would be Moyes call right? It's not like the Glazers are jumping in telling people what's what with their commitments.

Pretty sure I remember seeing him at Belgium but could be wrong. I don't think Vasquez would be next in line to help with goalies as I would assume they'd get a specialist to fill in, not just an assistant. Could be wrong though.

Yeah he's there for this camp, I recall seeing him during the anthems before one of the friendlies last week.

Pretty doubtful that Sir Alex would have let a coach moonlight on another continent, but Moyes is in charge now so who knows, he may let him stay with the USMNT through a presumed World Cup next year. Frankly it was a mistake for United to let go of Eric Steele, who has done remarkable work with De Gea.

So maybe the US Men can hire Eric Steele instead? ;)

Looks like somebody jumped the gun on his wiki page saying he's at Man U and no longer going forward with the US. Then again, it's wiki
