I love Chris Rolfe, but he hasn't been himself since 2012. Maybe his career will get back on track going forward. Best of luck Chris.
To expand on the gif I posted above: We cut him in the offseason because of salary to bring him back at a lower price point. Then we get rid of him anyway and pick up a chunk of his salary at the same time. Again... Also... Why in hell are we giving our players who have had moderate success with the Fire to Conference rivals? Oduro to Columbus. Berry to Philadelphia and now Rolfe to DC. What in the actual ******** is our FO doing?
Apparently Chris didn't take much of a paycut. This is a self-inflicted wound by the current FO. Just when the baby steps forward were appearing, now this. I'm guessing Pause is probably a small paycut from last year as well. So some of the noise about being at the top of the cap is by Yallop's own doing. Nice.
