I believe he will officially sign his contract on or soon after his birthday on July 28th. https://www.starsandstripesfc.com/u...r-chris-gloster-signs-for-hannover-bundesliga

yeah that's likely the reason, forgot that he's still 17. what timing a day off the 1st game of the season.
Does that put him off the team sheets till January? (Not that it likely matters). Or bc the transfer window is still open, he's fine?
he should be fine. Sargent's issue is that he turned 18 in Feb after the transfer market was already closed.
There's been talk of Gloster playing with the reserves, but yes - he's young enough to play with the U19s.
Anyone see an official announcement of Chris's signing? I just scrolled through Hannover's Twitter feed for the last few days and didn't see anything.
Since they made the announcement in March, I feel like they're not in any rush to announce what is essentially paperwork being filed.
#11 in this video. Very noticeable hair. Seems to play a bit as a midfielder and a bit as a left back. Although Hannover lost this game they would go on to take 3rd in the tournament behind Rapid Wien and BVB. Beats a man and puts in a nice cross at 2:46
seems to have played the full game as Hannover U19 lost 3-1 to 9 men Bremen. It was 3-1 when Bremen got 2 red cards between the 76th minute and the 83rd minute. One straight red and the other 2 yellow=red.
h/t to @ussoccer97531 Gloster played 25 minutes for the 2nd team. Interesting that he's moved up from the U19s.
Gloster went 90 minutes with the reserve team today in a 1-0 win. Seems like he's moved up to the reserve team. Not sure if there's injuries or something, but pretty impressive still.
All touches, not the greatest performance, explains why he was taken off at the half: https://streamable.com/q869q
I think he's actually played the last 3 games with the second side. I watched two Hannover II games and he was there in both of them. He played once for the U19s.
