Pelle's plan backfired. Not only does his team suffer a humiliating defeat against a team that is superior when playing with a B sqaud, but they lose at home to Osasuna with his rested players

i have no doubt that Pellegrini knows how to build a team, and that he can turn Malaga into a competitive team...

but it will take time. And it will depend on the patience that the owner is able to afford Pellegrini.....He needs this year, and at least another 2 ....in the fourth year from now, and only then, can you expect this team to be competitive....

Oh there's no doubt he CAN do it. But it's gotta be hard when you head to second division just so you can fight and get back to Primera. 4 years is a long time in soccer. I just don't see him hanging around for 4 years or even 2 just so the team can be compete. He's world class. He can leave and go to an important club in England or Italy or stay in Spain and coach Valencia...Atletico de Madrid etc...

He accepted a very big bet when he decided to sign for Malaga. If his destiny with the team means that next season they must play in 2nd divission, no one will want to hire him, and least of all, in any big team at all. He is stuck with Malaga`s destiny now, and if they go to 2nd divission for ending last in la liga, he will be forced to go with them all the way. If his boss, the sheik decides to let him go, it would not be surprising to see Pellegrini back in Chile or in Argentina once again, as his image of big coach will fall huge.

Pellegrini had chances at big clubs like Liverpool and also the Mexican national team....

Malaga is probably the best project out of all of them because he has the financial resources to build a team, essentially, from scratch

i seriously doubt he'll be let go even if they do descend. the defense is absolutely horrific....

As i understood it, the contract was up until 2014 and then he would take over the Qatari national team for the upcoming WC...... it indicates that he has the trust of the owners, which is good.

A year in second division isn't ideal, but it wouldn't be the worse thing in the world if it allows for a rebuilding, which is necessary.

4 years is a long time, but for a team like Malaga who is up and down all the time anyways, it might be worth the wait

Exageran o no?

Siempre sale jugando limpio tambien. No va a durar mucho en Sevilla.
