CHILE vs Ghana, 29 de febrero en Philadelphia (R) (Amistoso)

Fui al estadio y me gusto el partido hecho por la roja, pero no estoy conforme. Vi a fernandez muy pegado a los delanteros y no bajava a buscar pelotas. El corazon de la cancha tenia muchas camisetas blancas. Por las bandas me gusto varg. Medel y el pelado de la u cortaban bien detras de la media, pero creo que uno de ellos deberia subir mas. A suazo le llego poco y nada asi que no se puede juzgar bien. Alexis con hambre, como no lo dejan hacer eso en barça. El arquero nada que ver en el gol o en el palo. Los defensas laterales cubrieron, pero pudieron haber hecho mas. Los centrales perdian la marca a cada rato. Campos toro jugo mal y se fue expulsado. Claramente debemis soluxionar el problema defensivo. Y finalmente me guataria felicitar a jr por su actuacion. creo que deberia ser titular como volante derecho ya que isla esta lesionado.
A todo esto, cuando volvera mark?

no. i know i wrote 'replacement' but i meant it more in terms of a substitution.

Mati isn't one of the best 10's in the world or anything, but i think he's the best we have and should always be our starter, even when/if Valdivia is back...he's more consistent, works harder on recuperation, doesn't get thrown out of games, and is a maestro from corners and dead balls....

as for Villanueva or Jimenez as subs, i guess we haven't had a chance to really see either play in quite some time and the general perception of Carlitos, unlike Valdivia, is that he isn't necessarily playing above and beyond the competition in UAE...he's doing alright, but nothing crazy great either.

I'd hope for valdivia back...ideally Alexis coming down leaving Suazo and Vargas as forwards....then i'd toss it up between Paredes, Guitierrez, and Jorquera

Primero que nada debo decir que fue impresionante ver el despliegue de Medel en vivo y en directo. Realmente es el alma del equipo, literlamente esta en TODAS PARTES y se muestra siempre. Un monstruo, es omnipresente. Que los santos nos amparen y ojala nunca tenga una lesion seria porque sin el este equipo perderia mucho (con o sin Borghi en el banco).

Otra cosa, e independiente del nivel que haya mostrado Chile, el equipo ghanes de verdad jugo bien (se nota que hay una cierta disposicion de juego, a pesar de las multiples bajas) y presionaron de manera compacta el centro del campo, justo por donde Chile intentaba.

En este momento la verdad es que me importa bien poco el tipo de plantamiento que tengamos. Me conformaria con que hubiera orden de algun tipo en la cancha, con jugadores cumpliendo funciones especificas y en su posicion natural.

En otras palabras, me conformaria con que Borghi mostrara algo de trabajo. No se, algun tipo de movimiento defensivo en pelota parada, ALGO. Esto ultimo, por lo menos, seria mucho mas digno que usar el ultra trillado discurso del bio tipo y que por ser enano ni siquiera deberiamos de intentar saltar en los tiros de esquina.

A mi me cae bien Borghi, en serio. De hecho quiero que la vaya bien... pero a nivel de seleccion, no basta con decirle a los jugadores que pongan huevos y listo.

La falta de trabajo no es de ahora, es desde que llego a la seleccion (?).

 

Every single game Valdivia has played, he has done a better job than Matias. As for being a "maestro" on dead balls, apart from the 2 free kicks in a friendly last year, he hasn't done anything dangerous. Overall he is not a bad player, but his role is to give good passes to the forwards, and he fails to do that. Yes he helps on getting the ball back, but thats not his main function.

 

Los weones tontos, la mayoria juega fuera de Africa y andan llorando por 60 lukas? bueeno para nunca mas, por lo menos es lo que haria alguien normal, pero conociendo a los dirigentes

No. First Ghana came on, jumped around and passed the ball for a couple of minutes, then they went off (after 15 minutes). Shortly afterwards Chile came on, did the same as Ghana and then clapped and came off (after about 22 minutes). And then after 30 minutes Ghana came back on! And the match started.

I don't need to read it, I saw it. Ghana did not want to come out on time.

 

Well then you must have been blind not to see the Ghanains on the field after 15 minutes of play. Because I sure as hell saw it! And I commented on it in real time!

Has the game been cancelled or smtg? It's been almost 30 minutes since the break.

EDIT: First Ghana was on the field, then they left. Now Chile is on the field and no sight of Ghana. ???

Lol. Now Chile is off and Ghana come back on But it just looks like Mpong wants to do a 'victory' lap.

 

Wow... I can't believe you are claiming that WASN'T OFFSIDE! It wasn't by much, but that was offside.

 

I'm pretty sure they were subs from Ghana kicking the ball around at half time. The main team never did come out. I knew something was amiss when our players waved their hands and went back inside, but I figured they did that to wait for Ghana in the tunnel and not outside in the cold.

 

Jon Mensah, Paintsil and Asamoah were among them.
Nonetheless after 15 minutes the Ghanaian players were the only ones on the field. The Chilean players only entered after ca 22 minutes. So it clearly wasn't only a 'Ghana thing'.
