Now I don't know how reliable this is, but I just read off of wikipedia.com that the Nationall Team is slated to be sponsored by Adidas in 2010. Then it again it is wikipedia, so maybe they're in talks or something. Metro, JAIME, anyone??

Are they finally going to get rid of Brooks??

Well, our women's NT is dressed by Puma...

... and I'm sure Harold has something cooking after the lawsuit against Brooks is over. It'd be cool to be dressed by Adidas but perhaps they already have something going on with Puma???

i was under the impression that Puma was working thing out so as to be the sponsor...they've got a deal with the refs, the women, and i think some youth teams starting soon. what's for sure is that Brooks is out.

I'd prefer Puma over Nike and Adidas, though if Reebok could come up with something nice i'd take them

Don't really like Reebook very much... but they do bring nice memories from the 1998 World Cup. :D

I don't either. They've "uglified" my precious Chivas jersey for about 3 years now :(

Puma kits are nice...they're naca-approved

Well I just logged onto wikipedia.com again and this time it states that if the National Team does in fact qualify for the World Cup, which most likely it will, then Adidas will fabricate their jersey. Does anyone know about this or are there some secret dealings going on behind closed doors??

Re: New sponsor in the mix??

Still nothing new regarding a possible sponsor switch. I did check on the Chilean National Team page on Wikipeida and it even states that Adidas will sponsor them if they qualify for the World Cup. We'll see though. Hopefully by the end of next week when they qualify we'll know more.

I think that would be an awesome switch going from Brooks to Adidas. Because of the Chilean colors, they could make three jerseys. A home, an away, and a third. Plus, the training wear I think would look nice with training jerseys, t-shirts, a rain jacket, a cold weather jacket, etc.. Damn I'm getting carried away.:p

Well I just checked the Adidas Sponsorship page on wikipedia and it states starting January 2010, Adidas will sponsor Chile. Don't know how true it is though considering it's wikipedia, but one can only dream.

So what is wrong with Forus that the ANFP wants out. They should have never signed such a long contract.

Re: New sponsor in the mix??

I think the contract was signed by Reinaldo Sanchez and that's what HMN is arguing right now. At least, that is my understanding and though I understand where he is coming from, it is not Brooks's fault. All in all, our jersey does not look that bad, anyway.

Any plans to have a 2010 WC jersey? Or was the one they are wearing now just recently released? Cause i know most jersey designs/deals are for every 2 years.

I am assuming they might make a "WC" version of the jersey. Granted, it will still be with Brooks.

its a pretty ugly shirt without the number at the front, as they're currently being sold in Tiendas Paris...but the shorts are still blue. Whether the socks will be blue or white, i don't know.

plus i'm thinking that since both Spain and Switzerland use red jerseys, we might play in white twice. which wouldn't be bad, we tend to do better :)
