YES I've gone down the conspiracy rabbit hole regarding the Epstein case and discovered this whole comment in the article I will link to superficially related to YOUR Chicago Fire. Basically the gist of it is Jeffrey Epstein had no actual income so where did his money come from? His "Fixer" was a wealthy chick who's father was bumped off mysteriously in 1991 and then had an Israeli state funeral even though he was an American Jewish businessman??? How and why was this guy linked to so many prominent individuals and why did Acosta say the guy was "Intelligence and above his pay grade" and told to "Leave him alone"? With that in mind I give you the comment and article link: Feel free to discuss/chastize.

"NYT and Bloomberg have been writing about the mysterious source of Epstein’s wealth. Epstein’s hedge fund is established offshore and has a hush-hush list of “clients”. He was once sued by a guy named Michael Stroll who said he lost all $450k of his money investing with Epstein, and he told an interviewer that everyone thought Epstein “was some kind of genius, but I never saw any genius, and I never saw him work. Anyone that wealthy would have to work 26 hours a day, Epstein played 26 hours a day.” Bloomberg estimated that at best his net worth is $77m, which obviously is not enough to support his lavish lifestyle with 12 homes, a private island, private jet, 15 cars.

Epstein was “let go” by Bear Sterns because of his involvement in an insider trading case involving Edgar Bronfman, whose firm Seagram was in a hostile takeover bid of another firm. Bronfman, former president of World Jewish Congress, and his two daughters are investors in NXIVM which was recently charged with sex trafficking and other corruptions. Bronfman and Les Wexner, the single largest investor in Epstein’s “hedge fund”, were co-founders of the Zionist org. Mega. All these people are in one way or another connected with Israel.

I suspect Epstein and Bronfman were in fact running an international sex trafficking-racketeering ring on behalf of Mossad. That would explain his mysterious source of wealth. His little black book is rumored to include 1,500 names of who’s who in politics, business and arts, and includes royalty, several foreign presidents and a famous prime minister."

Just to go further down said rabbit hole, only 11 hours ago Claire Bronfman was released from prison on bail. She also owns a private island in Fiji where supposedly horrible sh*t was going down. I don't make this stuff up folks. As far as I can tell it was not only some perverted stuff but both cases appear to be about blackmailing people by photographing them in compromising situations and then getting them to either "play ball" in one way or another be it via political policy or money or whatever?

The comments to this article are more horrifying than the article itself, and the article is a pretty scary mass of conspiracy theory and odd facts.

I wait for the full story to be exposed, if it will.

As for Esptein himself, if even some of the allegations in this article are true (working for Mossad or the CIA or whomever), I do not see why he would not have been killed at some point.

Yes IF he was working for a foriegn government and there is a huge laundry list of compromised Washington insiders (Trump? Clinton? Whomever?) it might explain why he is being held still because he WOULD be silenced permanently if released. I wouldn't really necessarily call the CIA the "good guys" but they might be trying to clean up this mess quietly? I being a plebe can only speculate but there are some seriously weird things regarding both these cases and how did the Epstein dude have a fake passport from Saudi Arabia (that had many international stamps meaning he obviously traveled with it) along with diamonds and cash in his safe. How many Senators and Congressman from both parties are involved in this mess?

Why, oh why, could it not have been his brother, Charles?
He is the really, really evil one.

I just finished reading "Democracy in Chains" a couple of weeks ago.

I am now reading "Dark Money" by Jane Mayer, which is a virtual biography of the Kochs' (and Richard Mellon Scaife's) efforts to f*ck over the nation with their self-admitted radical libertarianism.

For those of you unaware of the Kochs, David Koch ran for VP in 1980 on the Libertarian Ticket (because St. Reagan was not radically conservative enough!).

Their platform ran on abolishing welfare, minimum wage laws, public education, the postal system, public transportation, corporate taxes, all corporate regulation, Medicare/Medicaid, public utilities and fire protection, all collective bargaining for employees, and Social Security.

    And this little tidbit:
"Current problems in such areas as energy, pollution, health care delivery, decaying cities, and poverty are not solved, but are primarily caused, by government."

    https://lpedia.org/Document:National_Platform_1980

When they only garnered 1% of the vote, they went (as they admit) "underground" and funded dozens, hundreds of libertarian think-tanks to spread their inhumane propaganda.

I would say David Koch should rot in hell, but 1) hell does not exist and 2) it would be too good for these cruel, evil, vicious motherf*ckers.

    Democratic Debate Mark III tonight.

Joe Biden is receiving way, way too much screen time.

He needs to retire and go home.

Also, it's amazing how any one of these candidates would be infinitely better than our current president. I sincerely think/hope we'll be in a much stronger position in 2 years.

Trump's a bozo , but the mere fact he could legitimately beat every democratic candidate is scary. The DNC is a ********ing disaster and a serious problem.

It's going to be hard for Trump to beat anyone except for the far left candidates. Anti-socialism is his only potential route to victory, assuming the economy/market holds out long enough to not negatively effect his election chances. Moderates swallowed their disgust and voted for trump because they thought we needed a change in govt. Now after seeing what that change looks like, they'll vote for anyone right of Sanders/Warren.

I really, really like Mayor Pete.

After reading (well listening to the unabridged audio) his book, I wanted to marry him...but I am too old for him (and me not being gay might be a deal breaker).

Tonight, I was not impressed until he started talking about ending "endless war" and any military action had to sunset.

He SHOULD be president some day, but won't be next year.

Warren beats Trump and should beat him badly.

Warren grabs all the white women who voted for Trump over Hillary.

The ONLY way Trump wins (and I think this part of your point), is that Trump scares the shit out of so many people that there is a huge turnout against her AND Democrats/Bernie "Bros" pull an idiotic 2016 and stay home.

    We have to be.

Another four years of Trump and I marry my EU-passport holding partner and we head to Ireland or somewhere.

She won't go back to Poland, though.

Major problem for Warren is that her current coalition of voters who see her as first choice still looks like what you'd see at a high school lacrosse tournament. Biden's lead with nonwhite voters is still massive. Warren may actually not meet the 15% delegate threshold in SC if polling holds up.

I understand and agree with this, but it really makes no sense to me.

She would be a far stronger advocate for the very people who are not supporting her and would be the one to go after the parents of the "high school lacrosse tournament."

I should have added, "might be a deal breaker for HIM."
For me? Well, I'd had have to see about that.

Yes, but she has to persuade them to make her their advocate and she doesn't have a great record there. He polling numbers statewide haven't been any better than what a Democrat called A.N. Other would get statewide in Mass. I don't remember if she was on the ballot when Deval Patrick was re-elected (probably not) but she was with Obama and the current GOP governor and she polled a bit behind them both. If she's got the little bit extra that means "she would be a far stronger advocate" she'd have at least matched them.

Nomination races are not much different than selecting a lawyer to argue your case in a courtroom. I may be a far, far better lawyer than you, but if you can package the law better than I can and connect better with the jury then don't hire me. Fair or unfair, that's what a Presidential nominee is for a party.

Who's got a better legal mind, Biden or Warren? Warren, of course, but who'd do better in front of the jury of the electorate? The jury's, erm, still out on that one (sorry ) and there's no court of appeals (where the better legal mind wins) there.
