Wow, you quoted my post 3 times and quoted one of your own replies.

I take it you do not like Jussie Smollett. Got it.

I had no idea who he was before this incident and his stunt sets back the fight against racism and hate speech because it triggers people like you.

Smollett should be jailed on multiple offenses. As should anyone else who fraudulently attempts to profit/benefit from the serious racial/social issues facing this country. A good example would be inventing a false national emergency based on your own ridiculous rhetoric that ends up fleecing the US military and the nation's citizens of billions of dollars on a white elephant project to appease your white nationalist base, who are the only people still willing to actively support you. I sure hope nobody does that.

How about those who violated HIPAA?
Does it matter whether they were just nosy?
Worse if they were trying to sell the medical records to the National Enquirer?
Or, is blowing up your career enough?

    1. How about them? 50 may be/have been fired. Good riddance to them, and there may be more actions to be taken against them.
    2. It mattes on what happens next, but accessing medical records without authorization is, in and of itself, a HIPAA violation.
One of my colleagues from law school has a practice that sues for HIPAA violations.
    3. If these records are made public or used, Northwestern is facing a massive lawsuit.
    4. Blowing up a career is a personal matter.
Filing false police reports is criminal and Smollett is facing 16 counts of felony filing false reports. I just read the actual indictment.
    HIPAA violations are very serious.

You are assuming they have genitals.

I always assumed that were right wing hatemongers because they
    1) Lacked balls
    2) Had micropenises
    or
    3) Both 1 and 2

Most People: "Is that guy a Chicago Fireman?"
"A red White Sox cap? Ugh."

Us geeks on BigSoccer: marking out for a "sign of MLS life in everyday life" (or whatever that thread on the BigSoccer MLS Board is).

    By the way:
Can we have Elizabeth Warren as President, please?
A "Professor in Chief" and an actual Economic expert would be so refreshing.

It is way, way worse than that. He was telling four women of color (three of whom who were born in the US) to go back to where they came from.

    Here are the exact tweets:

So interesting to see “Progressive” Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly....
.....and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful Nation on earth, how our government is to be run. Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how....
....it is done. These places need your help badly, you can’t leave fast enough. I’m sure that Nancy Pelosi would be very happy to quickly work out free travel arrangements!

    and then he continued:

When will the Radical Left Congresswomen apologize to our Country, the people of Israel and even to the Office of the President, for the foul language they have used, and the terrible things they have said. So many people are angry at them & their horrible & disgusting actions!

So sad to see the Democrats sticking up for people who speak so badly of our Country and who, in addition, hate Israel with a true and unbridled passion. Whenever confronted, they call their adversaries, including Nancy Pelosi, “RACIST.” Their disgusting language.....
....and the many terrible things they say about the United States must not be allowed to go unchallenged. If the Democrat Party wants to continue to condone such disgraceful behavior, then we look even more forward to seeing you at the ballot box in 2020!

He was referring to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York (born in NY) and her allies, Reps. Rashida Tlaib of Detroit (born in Mi.), Ilhan Omar of Minnesota and Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts (born in Chicago). Only Omar from Somalia is foreign-born.

Senator Lindsey Graham then piled on with another ridiculous statement:
@LindseyGrahamSC on Fox & Friends: "We all know that AOC and this crowd are a bunch of communists ... they're anti-Semitic. They're anti-America."

So I just watched ABC7 news about all the people who died because it was too hot on the south side in 1995. Then the weather forecast came on and the weatherman said "it's not going to be that hot this time" or something like it. Don't know why I used quotes.Really enraged me. Getting lucky with the weather is not a plan. People shouldn't die of weather in a first world country let alone a city this big and prosperous from external appearances. You can erect the Sears tower but, you can't keep people from dying when it get's to be 100 degrees outside? Got me wondering if they can't or whether they won't. And I'm leaning towards the won't. I think I'm voting for Bernie. At least he's pissed off angry. At least he seems smart enough to recognize that sometimes you can't just let people do whatever the ******** they want. Sometimes it's necessary to intervene. Sometimes maybe it's more important that people don't die on the streets than it is for a condo developer to make an extra couple grand.Maybe it's more important that the next generation aren't mermaids than it is for BP to take any accountability for their actions. Everywhere I read on the internet socialism is smeared as never working. Does it never work because people are corruptible assholes who will corrupt any system they devise? Or does it not work out of basic principles? I need to do some more reading on the subject. Anyway rant over not sure whether to smoke more or less weed. I can't really think of a reason not too if we're all gonna be dead soon anyway. Ok less

As a government employee my whole career (in healthcare), I've had no shortage of people who are "pissed off and angry". They're largely useless at best and harmful at worst. It's another thing to have the ability to listen to the people doing the shit we do down in the trenches and find a way to get us what we need to do our jobs.

Makes sense. But, at the same time I'll take someone who is obviously angry enough to change over someone who's only acting as president to inflate his ego.

A "professionally indignant" politician is in politics to inflate his own ego. That's the point.

Successful politicians - the ones who actually get change done - are successful disagreement managers. They don't talk much, not unless they have something serious to say, and they stay calm so that they can listen and learn: possibly learn from the other guy, certainly learn about him and what makes him tick.

Getting publicly angry antagonizes potential allies and turns counterparts into opponents, which is a fairly obvious problem. A less obvious problem is that angry people draw attention to themselves; that's how humans are primed to respond. The question is, which does the pol want more? The change or the attention?

So basically what we want is Bob Lazar for president? He seems like a smart level headed guy. Basically someone hard to corrupt.

Here's a crazy idea that I came up with this afternoon. Crazy idea. What if we took prisoners that it costs $31k a year then sent them off to live in a country it costs $10,000 a year to live in? Then we give them $15k. Tell them to turn the rest into profit or pocket it. Just don't break any laws or you immediately forfeit any profits and are sent home immediately. Break any major laws when your sentence is over you are on the hook for every cent you made "incarcerated" Wouldn't be much incentive to break the law again if you're not coming home broke.
