If I was offside as a kid as much as morata has been offside in this match I'd still be running laps today. No excuse for a pro not to know his lines.

Also, the number of overhit balls today has been very frustrating.

Also, can someone tell Morata NOT to keep trying these bloody silly little flicks and tricks when he DOES get the ball?

Morata runs the ball into the corner to waste time :)

We'd have had to have one of our fellas killed to get a PK in that match

The opening minutes were a sign that today was going to be tough. Again, credit to everton for their game plan and commitment today as it broke up our approach well. Combined with a Thursday night hangover and a bizarre effort up front and we made hard work of it.

Good 20-30 mins to open the second half especially from the wide forwards but lost momentum when we had cesc and pedro come in (will be honest and dont remember a single move from pedro in his spell).

Unbeaten but feels a little hollow. Sarri still with work to do and some players to buy.

Everton were well drilled today. Morata was terrible. Willian did nothing of note. So many wayward passes all around. Good effort in the 2nd but these games remind us why we won't compete for the title.

Hopefully these games remind Roman that he need to invest in January.

This was a dire game....that's what we deserve for playing in Europe.

I had to miss this game today (sounds like a good one to miss), I can only imagine how frustrating that must have been to watch.

Nothing happened the first half except Jorginho should have been red carded.

We had chances in the 2nd and missed them. Kepa nice save on Gilfy. Stalemate.

Morata falls over too much in the box. Hasn't got one yet. Now his MO and refs will never call it.

    Final whistle.

The way the guy was pushing him off with TWO hands, that would have been harsh. It was a feisty match anyway and if only one side is going to be clobbered it would normally be the away side.

Of course, this is Chelsea where the normal rules don't apply.

Europe on a Thursday we were sluggish and it was bloody cold up there for our tropical team. Sunday after a Thursday always knocks something out of the team.

On the plus side we don't concede goals.

Rudiger head butted. Okay it was a feeble head butt, but still, I don't believe that in the rules of the game you are allowed to move your head towards that of another player when the ball is nowhere near you. More precisely, headbutting an opponent is an illegal move.

I believe it gives Sarri the record of the longest unbeaten start for any new manager - at least in the Premier League era - not so sure about the 100 years or so of the league before that (now that would really be a 'special' stat.)
