How is that not a free kick?

We're playing extremely well; I think this is much closer to how Frank wants to play, and it works a lot better with very mobile midfielders. Also why I think we could use at least another one of those and why Jorginho may not ultimately be the best fit.

The refereeing here is......ah........what? Is this football, rugby or murderball?

    Trigger happy:

Adjective: To unleash or shoot at anything at slight provocation.

Example: Mason Mount sure is trigger happy today. He just unleashed a shot from way out.

If Reece James comes good defensively, he’ll be a world beater. His crosses are spectacular.

Bout time we get a free kick.

Pulisic really is looking like a like for like Hazard replacement at times, such quick feet there

Ball goes forward, bats immediately sprints into a position that would have him 4 yards offside.

Great save Kepa the other end.

James had a runner behind him going to back post too, hard to blame him for goal

Frustratingly close. Happy with the points - keep that top 4 mojo going.

Funny how we can be so much better than our opposition and yet still be 'hanging on' at the end of the game! I dont know why but I felt it was vital that we won this one.

Loads of chances, lots of misses. Not comfortanle at the back.

Who would have thought but we just aren't the same team when Tammy isn't out there... he's been so good for us.

I thought he had all the attributes to do well long term but, tbh, I didn't see him being this good for us this quickly.

Exactly. I'm good with the misses because he's so good at getting into scoring position.

Happy with the result and performance....but, our back looks so shaky.

I don’t think we looked that shaky. We conceded one real chance, that’s not bad at all. And Villa are a good attacking side. Kepa made that save off a header look more impressive than it was - it was routine.
That said, Zouma isn’t quite good enough to be a starter for us at this level. He fine, but not if we have higher ambitions.

That is kind of how I feel. It just seems like any ball delivered into a dangerous area ends up in our back net. That's more to down to our overall inexperience and then Kepa isn't a commanding force in the box.

Pulisic seems to be drawing a lot of close defensive attention the last few games
