Someone scarier than Spencer:

On December 16, 2016, Tanya Gersh answered her phone and heard gunshots. Startled, she hung up. Gersh, a real-estate agent who lives in Whitefish, Montana, assumed it was a prank call. But the phone rang again. More gunshots. Again, she hung up. Another call. This time, she heard a man’s voice: “This is how we can keep the Holocaust alive,” he said. “We can bury you without touching you.”

When Gersh put down the phone, her hands were shaking. She was one of only about 100 Jews in Whitefish and the surrounding Flathead Valley, and she knew there were white nationalists and “sovereign citizens” in the area. But Gersh had lived in Whitefish for more than 20 years, since just after college, and had always considered the scenic ski town an idyllic place. She didn’t even have a key to her house—she’d never felt the need to lock her door. Now that sense of security was about to be shattered.

The calls marked the start of a months-long campaign of harassment orchestrated by Andrew Anglin, the publisher of the world’s biggest neo-Nazi website, The Daily Stormer. He claimed that Gersh was trying to “extort” a property sale from Sherry Spencer, whose son, Richard Spencer, was another prominent white nationalist and the face of the so-called alt-right movement.

A neo-Nazi who drove his car into a group of protesters, killing one, during a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, was found guilty of murder on Friday.

James Alex Fields, 21, has been convicted of killing activist Heather Heyer when he plowed his Dodge Challenger into her and others during the “Unite the Right” rally in 2017.

Fields is an avowed supporter of neo-Nazi beliefs.

A jury found that Fields acted with premeditation on Aug. 12, 2017, when he backed up his car before barreling down a narrow street crowded with counterprotesters.

Sometimes bad things happen to bad chimps:

It was a gruesome scene. The body had severe wounds and was still bleeding despite having been lying for a few hours in the hot Senegalese savanna.

The murder victim, a West African chimpanzee called Foudouko, had been beaten with rocks and sticks, stomped on and then cannibalised by his own community.

This is one of just nine known cases where a group of chimpanzees has killed one of their own adult males, as opposed to killing a member of a neighbouring tribe.

This is why not enough is done about prison rape. Because It feels like a form of justice to some on the outside.

The prison environment is an expression of the mentality towards your fellow (hu)man.
Once your freedom to act is stripped from you it's the duty of the State to care for you, as you're being rendered defenseless.
What takes place in American prisons is a abomination towards decency, morality and humanity.

It's just a bidness. Nobody in 'Merica is pretending there's rehabilitation going on. Hell, you can spend a year or more at Riker's Island before you get a trial.

California has a huge prisons for profit program.

The state that should be the most progressive in rehab for prisoners is one of the worst regarding that outcome.

For profit companies have been behind 3 strikes laws, etc. that keep people behind bars for no other reason that to maintain profits for the people with a vested interest in maximizing the number of convicts.
