Some possible chants for the Earthquakes from my local team.

Oh San Jose!, (Oh San Jose!)
    Is Wonderful!, (Is Wonderful)
    Oh San Jose is wonderful!,
For the t*ts and the futbol.
    San Jose is wonderful!

If you all hate (Galaxy, Chivas, Seattle) clap yer hands,
If you all hate " " clap yer hands,
If you all hate " ",
If you all hate " ",
All hate " " clap yer hands...

(Second one is a bit more tricky but we can find wording surely.)

    We hate Gloucester,
    And we hate Gloucester,
    We hate Gloucester,
    And we hate Gloucester,
    We hate Gloucester,
    And we hate Gloucester,
    We are the Gloucester haters...

That is a cool website. I noticed our beloved Quakes' chants are also listed. Well some of them anyways. Even with all the well deserved complaining about Doyle and Yallop, just watching those Ultras videos got me all excited for the upcoming season.

Indeed, I am Earthquakes til I die.

i think if both groups sing "sloop john b" , like FC UTD of manchester does, it would sound great i think, and you may get some from the mainstand singing along too :p

here are the lyrics for it, i'm sure they could be edited to be quakes specific

Hoist up the John B sail,
    Can't hear the Mainstand sing,
    Call up the MRE,
    We'll sing on our own.
    Don't wanna go hoooome,
    Don't wanna go hooooooome,
    This is the best trip,
    I've ever been on.
    Der der der der
    Sooo
Hoist up the John B sail,

I'm not really a fan of the negative-based chants (i.e. "We hate (insert team), Your team sucks, insults, etc.), mostly because I want to be positive rather than negative, but also because it sounds pretty stupid when our team is the one that sucks and other teams are actually better than us.

The MLS needs to grow, and negativity isn't a good way to do that.

Unless a team is actually worse than ours. In which case, that team does, in fact, really suck. Positively.

And for the good of all mankind, the Scum need to be reminded of this when we kick them about like spoiled tantruming little brat-vermin.

You're the "quiet type." You're not a fan of any chants. So gtfo, this area is for supporter's clubs of the Quakes. If anybody takes even a brief look at your history of posting, they would know you do not belong in this area.

I'm a fan of lots of chants. I don't need to "gtfo" just because I don't like singing about how LA sucks or yelling that the opposing team's guys warming up on the sidelines suck because they don't start. You guys are just too cool for school, sorry if I can be satisfied watching a game without hurling insults at the visiting team. There are lots of chants that are energetic, rallies the crowd and players, fun, motivational, powerful, without being abnoxious about it. To some people that's what being a supporter is all about, to others it's not. So what?

How is it negative? It's for when a SG goes on a road trip and we beat a team so we dont want to leave because we won. If we did the OTHER version however...

    I wanna go home
    I wanna go hoooooome
This is the worst trip, i've ever been on

then you have an argument, but unfortunately im with sko on this one

You must read this thread again. These are people who are not even part of the supporter group, and they suggest whatever song they think is cool to the supporter groups. These are not actual songs that the Ultras are singing. I've been sitting next to the Ultras for two years now, and they have the most original songs in MLS. Unlike other groups in the league, they don't copy and sing generic songs.

Then again, either SG shall sing whatever juices our goose, be it original or traditional, or mixed/altered.

But in the interest of inclusiveness, there does occur the occasional chant known universally throughout the footballing world, which is not only fun, but draws others into the singing who might not normally do so, due to some degree of shyness or unfamiliarity with the chant. The Casbah and Ultras always encourage wider participation in SG stuff by the greater Quakes fanbase.

And this year, we get to do it with beer in hand:D Prost! Earthquakes
