IMHO, Moderators shouldn't be childish. But I am not calling all mods childish, just the ones who get angry for no real reason and are disrespectful.

To be a mod, you have to be totally mature. There are some good ones on here and there are some who really need to have their butts kicked for their totally immature and horrible ways.

 

That's just plain wrong. Those who want to become mods should be mature enough to handle the job.

I'm starting to like the rep system, if only for the math! Nowhere else but on BigSoccer does 9 - 1 = 18.

 

Seen the system close up now, it should be scrubbed, you got wee gangs running about boasting about neg reping (Funny in itself) posters because of some perceived slight and encouraging others to join in and composing lists . It's supposed to be a football forum, your letting the kindergarden kids run riot. My opinion.

How do you view rep messages? I probably don't have any seeing I only have a few posts, but for the future.

If it is mentioned somewhere in this thread, I'm sorry but five pages is a lot to read.

I also tried to find the explanation of the Rep System, but failed. I know how to view my rep feedback, and how to give rep, but where is the explanation of the point system you all referred to? Also, I gave out some rep to a couple of posters, but they tell me it shows up "blue" instead of green (it was a positive rep). I think the issue is that I'm still new to the board and have only been posting the past few days, but I'm not sure if there's some other reason?

Any help in pointing to the explanation is appreciated.

 

Rep shows as blue (neutral) when youy haven't made enough posts to activate it or you are in the red. I believe you need 100 posts before you can use the rep system fully. To see your point total, look to the top right of the rep feedback box. You get green nipples at specific points. There is no proper explanation that I know about.

 

I got a negative rep from NEO DE ONE who decided to call me a twit because I neg repped him telling him that it was none of his business on what Huss makes from this site. But it was in a different thread.

However, having said what I have said, There is a thread in here asking Huss how much he makes from the site, which NEO DE ONE typed up. He had neg repped me for my comments about his thread in the Exercised induced asthma thread which is allocated in the youth soccer forum.

 

That's the way it is with little bullies like NDO and that's the biggest problem with the rep system. Your neg rep won't make a dent in his total, but he can slam you into the red with one keystroke. An he will do it and he will gloat about it.

However, if someone of similar reppage sends some red karma his way he screams like a stuck pig and cries about the abuse of the system.


To call NDO a hypocrite is an understatement.

 

i got neg rep for posting in another then my favorite teams forum. people are idiots.

anyway, how does it work? dark green compared with crazy green? "becoming a superstar" or "name known to all" i havent seen it explained anywhere.

I know, I remember once I was getting staked by a mod with neg reps. The messages were so criptic and sick. Well I had a talk with his boss (dark knight) and that promptly shut him up. Now he thinks twice before opening his mouth.
