Here goes: The objective is to pick the winners of qualifying matches, who finishes 1st/2nd in groups, and who advances in each of the knockout rounds. I messed up by not starting this at the 1st qualifying round, but it's not a big deal. Points system: 1 point for correctly predicting who advances in each of the qualifying rounds 1 point for correctly predicting anyone of the 16 clubs that advance from group stage 2 points for correctly predicting the 1/2 order of a group 1 point for correctly predicting who advances in each of the knockout rounds 1 point for correctly predicting who wins the final You predict the round/group stage between the draw and the date the first matchup of that round takes place. As far as a prize, there is none. This is the internet. However, this can still be fun. Happy picking. 2nd Qualifying Round: Qarabag (Azerbaijan) vs. F91 Dudelange (Luxembourg) Hapoel Be'er Sheva (Israel) vs. Sheriff Tiraspol (Moldova) Olimpija Ljubljana (Slovenia) vs. Trencin (Slovakia) Red Bull Salzberg (Austria) vs. Liepaja (Latvia) Vardar (Macedonia) vs. Dinamo Zagreb (Croatia) The New Saints (Wales) vs. APOEL (Cyprus) Zrinjski Mostar (Bosnia) vs. Legia Warsaw (Poland) Ludogorets Razgrad (Bulgaria) vs. Mladost Podgorica (Montenegro) Dinamo Tbilisi (Georgia) vs. Alashkert (Armenia) Zalgiris Vilnius (Lithuania) vs. Astana (Kazakhstan) Partizani Tirana (Albania) vs. Ferencvaros (Hungary) BATE Borisov (Belarus) vs. SJK (Finland) Valletta (Malta) vs. Red Star Belgrade (Serbia) Rosenborg (Norway) vs. IFK Norrkoping (Sweden) Dundalk (Ireland) vs. FH (Iceland) Lincoln Red Imps (Gibraltar) vs. Celtic (Scotland) Crusaders (N. Ireland) vs. Copenhagen (Denmark) My picks in bold.
I agree with most of those. I want Hapoel Be'er Sheva to win. The Israeli league is ranked ahead of the Moldovan league, but Hapoel Be'er Sheva doesn't have experience in UEFA competitions. Sheriff Tiraspol is seeeded. Sheriff Tiraspol was founded in 1997 in the second level, won promotion to the top level, and has been in at least one of Champions League, Europa League, or UEFA Cup (including qualifying rounds for each competition) every season going back to 1999-2000. In 2015-2016, Sheriff Tiraspol did worse than usual. They started in Europa League Qualifying Round 1 and lost the aggregate 3:0 to Odds BK of Norway. Sheriff Tiraspol won ten consecutive Moldovan titles from 2001-2002 through 2010-2011.
