Our back line altogether has been very, very solid. John Terry and Azpilicueta, in particular.

Coming from a man who can barely trap, pass, etc I would see that as progress sir.

Willy needs to cut out that out. He is ruining the run to the ball with he rethinks his freekick.

Ramires is the only player I can think of who when he has the ball out wide I can say with 100% confidence that he'll cross it straight into the defender.

That was superb from Zouma. For a guy that tall and big, it's hard to beat him for pace.

We're getting pressed hard here in the closing stages.

Would be happy with a draw away from home at this point.

How do you NOT get a yellow card when you deliberately pick up the ball like that?

Probably our best performance of the season.

on the whole, i think that was a pretty good game. relative to where we are at i think we can take a lot away from a solid performance. if we can build on it, and the villa win (which probably shows less than this game) then we can start getting results.

we still can't cut teams open for clear chances though. haven't been doing that for a long time now.

Other than our first half performance against Arsenal I can't honestly think of any other match this season where we looked as solid.

Outside of Willian's free kick, I didn't see any goal scoring opportunity. We might have looked ok on defense, but I just think overall, we look terrible.

I didn't get to see the game but sounds like more of the same

We seem to create less chances than any other team!!

Would add in Matic's mazy run but overall I would agree. Hazard still isnt back and Cesc was still awful. Ram helped in defense but as Andy pointed out he continually gave the ball away. We just didnt look like scoring which is a massive problem.

Hazard also had a chance that last season would've been put away and we would've cruised for 85 minutes to victory.

This was a bore of a match and we lack any players who can come on and/or make an impact.

hazard did show signs of life though. and he hit the post which turned out to actually be a GREAT fingertip save. on replay, keeper got just enough to turn it around.

still though, i don't think this was more of the same. i think this was individually just one of those nights, because overall i thought the team was much more solid outside of the final 10 minutes when dynamo were really going for it. i agree the team still doesn't create a ton of chances, but the game, to me, was a step in the right direction. i think chelsea were unlucky not to win this one. compare that to earlier games, where i think the team was actually lucky to win or draw and the performance was crap. so for me it was only 1 point in the CL but a much more promising performance than say, the west brom win.

Best performance of the season for me (though that's not saying much) still a lot of room for improvement.
