Robben bends a lefty far post... but JC pushes it out for another (wasted) corner

    It's Milito's, Milan's and Mourinho's night, no question.

It was only a matter of time. Bayern has been super-vulnerable to Inter's counters and Milito is in a zone.

Van Bommel's got nothing at all to complain about there... Closer to a red than a yellow, and that was his second hard foul in less than 5 mins.

Congrats to Inter. It's amazing seeing these guys so thoroughly control matches with barely a third of the ball...

Wasn't much of a thrilling game, but interesting enough.. Congratulations Mourinho!!! somehow you pull it off, with hardly any ball possesion, no more than 4 or 5 shots on goal.. but you pull it off.

bayern's backline ( especially demachelis and the other CB) was horrible 2night.. and Julio Cesar made 2 spectacular saves ...

Being as this game was being shown live on one of the major networks in the United States and there was absolutely nothing else on at the time this was the perfect time to plant a soccer seed in minds of the masses. Sadly, this game probably did more to turn people off to soccer than anything else. What a boring game. The winning team bunkers the entire game, dives at every opportunity and the losing team never even looked like they wanted to score. Beautiful goals though.

Last year's final was more one-sided, but yeah Bayern didn't make it interesting enough. Inter deserves the trophy though, organized tactical football then knocking out two titans in Chelsea and Barca in the process while Bayern was only tested by a Man Utd team that was down a man.

In one year he'll achieve the grand slam as he calls it, and become the first coach in history to win the three most importante domestic leagues: the english Premier League, the italian Serie A and the spanish La Liga.

I hate Jose Mourinho but he had a much better team. Oh well, Barca next time.

Incredibly dull game and a really bad advert for the sport.

Mourinho=George Graham but with charisma. His teams are horrible to watch.

Not as bad as the Milan - Juve one from a few years back though. It was so awful.

As much as it pains me to say this as a Milanista.......good on ya Inter..you deserved it.

Milito's second goal was a thing of beauty.

A previous poster said it best...it was amazing to see Inter control a game that they were out possessed so badly.

Those of you who thought it was not a good advert for the sport......bah....excuses.....it was more than beautiful enough :)

The classic Italian game....make you think you have a chance when really...it was never in doubt.

Agreed the match was quite boring. The first half actually put me to sleep. The second half was much better, but Inter were the better team and that lack of a match up between similarly matched teams really affected the quality of the match.

did anybody else think the fox's pre-game trio was absolutely abysmal? bruce arena sounded sloppy drunk, and wynalda always sounds silly.

i actually enjoyed the match, but fox needed to bring in credible pundits who can actually pronounce names correctly.
