Game about to start... i'm really excited for it! Not sure if i'm totally enthusiastic on the lineup but maybe it will pay off well with Neres adding fire as a sub in the second half.

 

I think so too. I think he'll have a few more mistakes this season but be overall solid and the next 2-3 years he will be the best. It irritated me reading Juventus fans saying he wasn't good enough yet for Juventus after a few mistakes.... No, he was good enough, he just wasn't used to the system yet.

Now there are fans, coaches & pundits talking about how he's made an "exceptional growth" in the last few weeks... No, he hasn't made an "exceptional growth" he has just gotten used to a new system. People were way too quick to call him a flop in his first games for a new team in an entirely new system against tough opponents. He's only going to get better as he gets more in tune with his team.

Great game so far! Wow that double attack from Ziyech + Tagliafico was brilliant! Unlucky Ziyech and had Tagliafico blasted in that follow up after the cute flick from Promes it would have been a potential Pukas.

 

Stupid yellow card by Promes, we are up 3-0, there's no need for timewasting by trotting off the long end of the pitch

 

Yeah that was pretty unnecessary.
The ref was really quick to give away yellows though... If we're being fair the Valencia player Lee should have got a second yellow at the end for a much worse tackle than the ref had been carding all night. But that's fine, didn't make a difference in the game.

Nice game, we still gave a LOT of chances away but also created so much. Two shots into the post and many big chances. The Donny VdB chip was also a pretty brilliant chance.

By the way great night for us with the Swiss and Austrian teams losing. Belgium with a draw.
